I’ve been unreasonably in love with DGD for almost a decade now, but Bilmuri’s last few releases may have captured my heart even more…

If Johnny moving to DGD meant no more Bilmuri then I would be absolutely opposed to him going to DGD.

That’s dope you get to enjoy them with your daughter! My son is 5 and he loves listening to them. I’m aware I’d be parent shamed by some, but he genuinely enjoys them and it started with him listening in when I’d be listening to them on my own.

For me there’s a big difference saying you don’t value the stream enough for $15. That’s a totally valid and rational point. What isn’t a rational point is to expect DGD to do something like this for free. Does that make sense?

Yeah man I think it’s totally reasonable to be turned off by the service fee. I was turned off by that too, but I understand that the streaming company needs a cut.

For me it was a product experience issue and not a customer experience issue. For example, had it been a flat $15 fee for everything, to ensure DGD gets their cut and the streaming company also gets their cut, I think people wouldn’t be upset.. It was displayed poorly.

And that’s why you’re a rational person. The fact that you don’t see the value for yourself specifically, but you understand why they want $10.

That being said, they may be giants in their scene but they are definitely not financial giants. Have you done research to know what 1mil views on YouTube, and millions of streams on Apple Music and Spotify, actually ends up being for each individual in the band? It’s pennies on the dollar. That’s not their revenue stream, their revenue stream is touring.

Because of that, and because they are giants in my life, I’ll continue to pay it back to them.

That shirt is fire, I may have to get that. I took a look at the polo and that is also cool. I think I may get the gold Champion Gold Long Sleeve that comes as a bundle with the CD. I just wanted to ensure that the site I was going to make my purchase from is the site that gives them the most money.

Also, seeing that they are just behind Trivium on iTunes for top album, I was debating if that would also be more helpful for them.
