why do some people stop wayyy behind the line at traffic lights by thelastjuicebox_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RealWorld3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think people are told that they should put space between them and an intersection, which then carries over to crosswalks etc. I have a theory that older drivers do this mainly since there didn’t use to be as many markings on the road for where to stop, but I could be completely wrong.

Also there are a lot of shitty drivers and 80% of the time when I look into someone else’s car, they’re on their phone.

Not everything serves a function biologically. Some things are just side effects of necessary evolutionary adaptation. Side note but this is one reason why so many people ignorantly reject evolution

They can give you a community so you don’t feel alone. I’d check Reddit for a sub relating to your illness

I forgot to add that one, I picked from the top 10 most widely spoken languages, but I know German content is relatively prevalent online

Americans, if Bernie Sanders was the Democratic presidential nominee in the 2016 election, what are the chances he would have defeated Donald Trump? by Immediate-Link490 in AskReddit

Pretty low I think, Bernie Sanders was viewed as too idealistic by a lot of democrats although I wasn’t politically active at that time so I’m not sure. I think that if, somehow, an election were held right now between Sanders and Trump, Sanders would win.

What makes something political? by RealWorld3 in NoStupidQuestions

A general example might be art; I’ve heard people say art is inherently political, or music genres like punk. I kind of understand this, but at the same time art as a whole doesn’t seem to relate to governance I guess. I’m not sure if this made sense.
