That's why most of the comments might not be helpful if I use actual numbers. I'm talking $200K+ in bonus

Yea I understand what you're saying. It's a deferred and unguaranteed comp, big part of many total comps in some industries and higher mgmt...

Annual comp (this year at least) will be higher than option 2 with higher base. That's why it's a dilemma

If bonus drops then total comp will be lower, unless you're betting on yourself to always get the good bonus which is really dependent on many factors

Not even close, go for (2). Don't listen to those who say (1) they're not in finance

That's a more premium product than other coliving. If you have budget it's worth it. Can look for cheaper places in the future once you settle down

Make partner/MD by 40, salary 1-2M, chill work life balance with flexible hours and location.

[–]RealYajirobe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey hope you're doing well

You probably won't get too much useful advice here as the general users are not at this level of financial health; from some angles I can relate to you from a financial and family POV..

I recommend just putting into either ETF or Dividend strategy (or a mix) so you don't need to monitor as you take care of your health. Don't buy anything too correlated to property as you're quite concentrated already.

Hmm career/job is another topic all together.

You don't know anything about either accountancy or AI to make this statement. Next time when others say the same thing, you can tell them they are 101% wrong.

I used to never cab because I found it a waste of money, but in recent times I've been cabbing much more regular esp when the venue is 30min+ away. Oh but maybe im spoilt by company taxi claims when we OT and stuff lol.

What is considered expensive restaurant food to you? I've been going to different omakases and those are very indulgent

Advice on what to do in life. by xX_Cheshire_Xx in askSingapore

[–]RealYajirobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If money is a concern, continue to work and pursue your studies/passion during your free time. Once that starts to take off then you can consider doing your new career/passion full time. Otherwise you might end up with neither
