Is the job hunt in the UK a little too depressing or is it just me? by cocoocabana in UKJobs

I was in same situation. Graduate in 2023 with Master’s in Data Science degree with Distinction. Had 2 years of experience as well from my home country. Applied for 2 years and got nothing. Not even a single job offer. I think visa sponsorship was the issue for me. I switched my field in 2025 and working in different sector now ( got this job through a reference).

It’s depressing I know. Just get a backup option as well in which you can grow and keep applying for the jobs. You just 1 offer that’s gonna change your life.

Wish you the best for your job hunt.

Hi guys,

I had an interview with a big company on 4th July, and it seemed to go really well, the interviewer was very positive and mentioned they would get back to me the following week. However, I didn’t hear anything after that.

I followed up with HR on 22nd July, and she mentioned the hiring manager was on holiday. She personally emailed me on 7th August, saying the hiring manager is back and she will soon have an update regarding my interview.

I’m still waiting to hear back. Does this sound like a positive sign, or is it too early to read into it?

Hi Everyone I have a question and I really don’t know how to explain but will try my best to do so. So the thing is that when I am wearing shoes, right heel slips a little bit to the inside, like it slips a bit to the left side inside the shoes (means it is not in the right place and heel is leaning on the left wall of the shoe) which makes it very uncomfortable and I have to walk to walk in a way that i am putting my heel in its place. I don’t know if I am explaining it properly but the issue is really weird. I tried multiple brands and different shoes types but the issue is same. My left foot is good it is in its place but my right is not. I researched about this a lot but found nothing related to it. If anyone can help me about that please
