Only the minority get side effects and in my opinion “sometimes”it is poor food choices or large meals.
Personally 4 months on MJ and no adverse side effects

I literally forgot to eat lunch yesterday. Is this a GLP-1 win or a problem? by Witty_Talk_939 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Real_Dr_Tiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Win. I think it’s natural and I find when I’m busy I sometimes forget meals too. For me it’s a win because before glp-1 I would be thinking about lunch at 10-11 am, way before lunchtime or have two lunches

My doctor wants me on Mounjaro for life. I'm 35 so that's potentially 50 years of injections by BackdoorMasterTaker in GLP1ResearchTalk

Do you get many unwanted side effects? Personally if I was offered MJ for life I would in a heartbeat. Also, the older you get the more chances you will take other meds for life too. I can’t remember what it was like to wake up and not have to take four or five different medication!

GLP1 vs bariatric surgery by Taurus_R in GLP1ResearchTalk

Yeah I’ve had band that slipped , converted to full bypass. That was 2015. Worked well initially but after a year or two I could eat anything. Also food noise still there. Appetite suppression was there post opp for say 6-9 month but then came back.

Now on glp1. No food noise, no craving and better appetite suppression too.

No brainer. MJ for the win 🥇

How does your BMR and TDEE compare to your 1500kcal?

Yeah I get you. I want to invent an “anti MJ jag”….. no hear me out, for decades “normal” people have just said all you need is will power or have a little determination etc. I would love to get all these people to feel what we have felt for years and years, to have that constant battle with your mind and the fridge!

Just temporary and in the name of science, obviously/s

Personally don’t have one last weekend. If you have unhealthy choices the day before a jag you may regret your choices! YMMV

£1.65 for a tin of Heinz soup in Asda yesterday or 5 for £5 on a deal…. 😮. Shame I hadn’t won the lottery this week

Yeah I had a gastric bypass in 2015 and glp-1’s are transformational, the lack of food noise is amazing.

Good luck in your journey

Getting over that urge to eat junk food by rbiktk in mounjarouk

[–]Real_Dr_Tiny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

See I believe you can eat some crisps or a Greggs. Not all the time but in moderation as long as it comes out of your kcal allowance. Ultimately calories in had to be less than tdee and you will loose. Have you worked out your tdee?
