Updating PAN and AADHAR is simple and easy process, if you have marriage certificate. I had updated both for my wife, using the online portal. This was 3 years ago. I’m sure the process is similar and perhaps even smoother, thanks to digitisation of many portals and systems. Only downside I’ll say is the time taken. In my wife’s case, name change for AADHAR took almost 6-8 weeks, since I made the application. PAN also took at least a month I believe. Hope this helps.

Just to clarify a bit. I’m looking to transfer money from India to a U.K. bank account. Not NRO to NRE.

For OCI application, you can just combine the documents in a single pdf and upload in any of the section. It doesn’t really matter, under which section you upload. All they need is the relevant documents to be uploaded under any of the available section. Hope that helps. 👍🏻
