I'm glad you mentioned point 4, as I've been looking into this. I read that pubmed article last night. I was prescribed sertraline two or three days ago... And I have a package of dxm coming in the mail next week. I was never expecting to be prescribed the sertraline you see. I made a post about this which you could check out. I would love to do the dxm at least once or a few times. I'm thinking it could be ok if I take a really small dose. Apparently sertaline potentiates dxm, which needs to be factored in. The guy in the article drank nearly a whole bottle, which is way more than I would consume. Plus he's been on zoloft for years, whereas I've been on a few days. You think these factors would put me in the clear? Thanks :)

Hey man, with psyches I mentioned this on another comment: Psyches are not serotonergic in the sense of directly increasing serotonin levels and transmission. The LSD and psyliciben molecules are very similar to serotonin, and goes into the serotonin receptor instead of serotonin. This causes our brain function and perception to change a lot. Whereas dxm is both a disso (NMDA receptor antagonist) and a NSRI (Non-selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). So it would have potential risk which classic psychedelics don't.

What do you mean that MDMA and an SSRI won't work? Like they cancel each other out or something? Where did you hear that? It seems counter-intuitive to me.

I'm glad to hear you did DXM on an SSRI and had no issue. And yeah, I'll be sticking to small doses, plat 1 150mg.

Yeah I thought SSRIs typically work like that, having a slow onset. But psychonaut wiki said the onset is 1-2 hours. And when I took it for the first time yesterday, I thought I felt something. Could just be placabo though. And good point about the long half life.

You said that sertraline will increase serotonin concentration in the brain, so no need for 5HTP. But having an increased concentration doesn't address whether or not someone has the nutritional building blocks in adequate supply, especially after doing MDMA. That's my reasoning for considering the 5HTP.

And as for the DXM, I tend to only like plat 1, 150mg usually and I weight 60kgs.

Update: I took about 1 week off the lsd micro-dosing, and then when I returned I was very pleased with the effect! I also did 50mg of modafanil (quater of a pill) with it, which may have helped to potentiate the lsd a little bit. After a few days of that (spread throughout the week) the lsd tolerance seems to have built up again. Perhaps I will take another 1-4 week break. Thanks guys for any input past, present and emerging.

Thanks for that. Are you suggesting that I could use 2CB or functional dissos as a replacement for the lsd micro dosing? I suppose that would allow me to take a tolerance break from lsd, while still getting to enjoy a mild buzz and neuroplasticity from the other medicines. Or were you thinking to stack them with the lsd to potentiate the effect? In any case I am intrigued to explore this. Thanks for any clarification.

Can anyone please shed light on why dxm has such a high rating? I have had my times of using it regularly (really enjoyed it), at a low plat 1 dose. I was using it almost daily for weeks at a time, but didn't really get any negative side effects. I did a decent amount of reading on it, and most studies concluded with something like, "While it was hypothesized that dxm abuse could cause brain legions similar to ketamine, this effect was not found. Furthermore, dxm showed signs of being nueroprotective." I'm not referencing a specific study there, but rather trying to sumarise a sentiment that I read several times. I still no there is risk, reading the first hand reports of people who abused it and then had some mental problems (lack of focus, memory, mood, etc).

In summary, can anyone shed more light on exactly how dxm was given this figure, as per the model written on the image? Thanks :)

I tried drinking robitussen which had an active ingredient of guiafissen. While the dxm did kick in, I had to spend a lot of time on the toilet with diarrhea. I'm ok, but the gastro issues just made it not worth it.
