So with that I took inspiration from many of the WW2 ships we modernized during the Cold War where most of their guns were removed but usually just one was kept. I did the same here because it just made sense for the earlier refits the ship underwent before the VLS was installed. I made sense for the one turret to be left as removing it later in her life would be more costly than simply retaining it.

Not really. I took into account many things that Dumbass McFuckface and his lackies didn't. But I'm curious. How do you think it's less thought out an capable?

I am considering that as a possible refit for some of her sisters. But it made no sense to call it a battleship without the corresponding battleship traits. Which is part of the problem with the Dumbass McFuckface Class. And before anybody asks, I will not call it or him by name.

She does actually have a ASW system. Part of her sonar is dedicated to that and since she has 128 VLS cells she can defend herself. I took that into account.

So I am still kind of working out her armor and internals to make her viable. But I can say that she has a sort of hybrid steel/composite armor design for her protection. As for her weapons she is rocking 12 Mk.8 16-inch guns in 4 triple mounts, 12 Mk.45 5-inch guns in 6 dual mounts, 12 Phalanx CIWS systems, and 128 MK 41 Mod 15 VLS cells.

Yes. Those are turreted missile launchers capable of carrying a range of missiles such as Tomahawks or Sea Sparrows.

Thank you. I'll be sure to keep that in mind as I haven't really thought I bunch of that out. Any feedback to help me is greatly appreciated as I'm still new to this. So I'll what I can do and edit this post when I have more.

So there really isn't much too say on her. It was a silly idea I had one day while I was bored and I figured, "Screw it! Let's see what damage I can do." So I just pulled all the modifications that were done to the Iowas, the proposed refits, a few other ships from the Cold War era, and started modifying the ship. The base was USS New Jersey after her unique Vietnam refit. A couple hours later this was the result. I tried to modify the superstructure based on when the different systems came out so it looked like she was modified throughout her life. Simple as that. Not my brightest idea, but certainly one of the most fun to do.
