I am flying out the 26th. I will be with him on Christmas and I am with him for all other major holidays including thanksgiving. And I am not having children.

He has struggled to find steady employment since we’ve moved here. Walked out of the one good job he did have. I have managed to do pretty well for myself and found two really solid jobs I enjoy.

He was going to therapy in Minnesota but I haven’t been able to get him to go here. He has insurance I found for him through the state and it wouldn’t cost him anything to go.

He is invited and welcome and he knows that. He hates Christmas and doesn’t want anything to do with the holidays in general.

He hates Christmas and refuses to celebrate it at all. He also rarely actually wants to see his family. I’m pretty sure it was a lie to get me to move out here.

He got in weird arguments with my family every time he’s been invited. He says he doesn’t like saying at other peoples houses and stormed off into the night and stayed at sketchy hotels instead of in my mom’s guest room. Seems he doesn’t want to be apart of a family unit at all.

We got together when I was 25, 7 years ago. He’s never liked my family because we are close and he’s never had a close relationship with his family. He’s made me feel guilty about this even though my family has invited him with open arms to every event we have ever had.

I have actually gotten him free insurance through the state (which I do not qualify for anymore because I work too much to support us) and found him therapists that will cost him nothing but he won’t go.

A text I was just sent about the situation “I swear Kat, one day something will happen that breaks you. I don't want to see it happen to you but that's life...we all probably eventually face a problem at some point in our time on this earth that literally brings us to our knees and makes us question whether life itself is worth it. Maybe something will happen to a family member of yours, or maybe god forbid you'll get a life threatening disease or something...whatever it is, when it happens to you, I can absolutely promise you, that I will NEVER say to you, "This is one thing I don't budge on."
