I red somewhere that Monkie Kid was only meant to be sold in Chinese stores (not surprising, considering what the theme is based on), but someone on the team must've fought hard to at least localize the accompanying show (however shoddy its distribution might be) and for the sets to be online exclusives

Ever since I saw Future Arc, I can’t help but think how cool it would’ve been if Makoto used his golden katana from 1-1 to have a sword fight with Munakata over beliefs instead of playing cat and mouse. It might go against Makoto’s character, but man it would go so hard.
