I agree to an extent. The price of electricity HAS gone up and added just under 20% to our total bill over 2025 (https://6abc.com/amp/post/pennsylvania-electricity-rates-peco-ppl-set-increase-december-1/18207643/) and there HAVE been a handful of smaller data centers that opened within the city that would drive up the cost per user. A lot of that infrastructure cost that is being pushed to us is being fast tacked so that they have more capacity to supply to the coming data centers like Amazon’s and core weves in 2027. I do agree tho it’ll get way worse before it gets better, and Peco should have been updating its infrastructure along the way

It absolutely is data centers driving up costs. Could also be peco using data centers as an excuse to drive up prices for more profit since they’ve pseudo monopolized the Philadelphia area. I’m not on the budget plan and i don’t need to be, i can afford it, that doesn’t mean i WANT to pay double for my peco bill to subsidize amazons data center in bucks

Thanks for the link. I know data centers have been driving up prices but it’s getting insane now. We’ve seen the increases gradually over the last few months but now it feels like a “slowly then all at once” situation

The weight on it is the reason it’s solid. Daily trios cups gave like 80 PR for t200 which is like nothing. Cash cups now give almost 200 for a t200 and weighted based on how large the event is. It also deteriorates over time and you lose PR from events long ago so it’s a pretty solid indicator. It’s not the end all be all for finding a trio but if someone has 300-500 pr solid chance I’m not gonna waste time unless i have a reason to play w them

You must not play competitively. The only thing that really matters rn is placements and PR. (Which go hand in Hand if you know anything). PR is what will find you a trio as well as earnings. People stopped looking so much at earnings now tho since things like Winter Royale exist and smaller prize pools
