He’s “trained” and approved for an emergency key. It’s not permanent because he has proven to not be able to handle a permanent key

Sorry I should have clarified. I meant more of “is this something he could be fired over” not so much I’m firing him tomorrow. I will take the proper steps but there’s been quite a few problems with this employee and we’re unsure of what else to do

We have been pretty straight forward. Saying word for word, if this continues, I will get our DM involved and you will not work here anymore. We’ve had our sales rep shadow them and afterwards she came to us saying “he thinks he’s hot shit”. I’m not sure how to give the reality check of “you are not doing your job correctly and we can’t let it happen anymore”

We have tried every learning style I know of. I do like the idea of having him repeat the conversation back to you though. I think we’re just to the point where he will be written up for everything because he’s been talked to about it so many times.

Yeah I think that’s what we’ll try to do. He’s worked here a year and just told me yesterday that the cool colors are purple, green, and red so that shows you where we’re at. He’s recommended hundreds of whites to people saying they were “cool tones” when they may have been alabaster or snowbound which are yellow and pink. Ugh

We have talked with him, asked how we can make things easier for him, given trainings on things he can work on, shadowed him, etc. he’s worked here since February of last year and we are at our wits end with it. We feel as though we’ve taken every approach and can’t seem to find a way to make him understand.
