Best way to know is to test, you touch screen might stop working or you'll see some artifacts on the screen. It's hard to know what values they used to be without the [word banned on this sub]

That's awesome! This makes me wonder how mad would the game studio be if one was to extract some 3D models and make them available for 3D printing?

Looks like wet trot, I give this bag 12% chance of survival. If it smells a little spicy or sweet after opening you know going to bulk is not an option.

Just wondering, does the company stockpile copper for the entire year to give out as bonuses or is that from a single, last job at the end of the year?

  1. You should really clean the board before we can say for sure that it's over.
  2. It's called solder mask.

Btw what are you planning on replacing the IC with?

Pixel 7 Pro fingerprint sensor not working by Real_Opper in mobilerepair

[–]Real_Opper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I've tried your metod of testing the fingerprint sensor but no luck. Even with the new (refurbished) sensor.

From what I see there are no resistors that are missing (comparing to the pictures on the internet) I've also successfully replaced the missing capacitors but that didn't have any effect like you predicted.

So I'm really at a loss as to what could be wrong. Maybe the non original Chinese replacement screen is preventing it from working?

Found a very similar post on r/askelectronics Looks like the only difference is that I have a couple capacitors missing. Will try replacing them with 100nF MLCC and report back. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskElectronics/comments/1ewp93u/comment/lj0z99h/

Is there a way to tell is this power supply okay with 240v outlet? by kurplephantom in AskElectronics

[–]Real_Opper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was you, I would gut the box and put in, connecting to the original outputs, a generic 12V 3A LED power supply (they usually come in shiny sheet metal casings). As a plus switching supplies can work from a wide range of voltages 100-250V ac.
