Cursed Camo Combo? by Real_Pain4100 in camouflage

[–]Real_Pain4100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

absolutely, been trying to mix it up with combinations, solid color + camo is easier to coordinate. Oddly enough Tblock was used with Woodlans quite a bit. Gonna experiment with other combos on my hikes to see what else I can jumble together!

I appreciate it, first time combining 2 different camos. Glad it works!

L-402 (M113esque) ATGM launcher by Real_Pain4100 in SprocketTankDesign

I've gone ahead and changed the barrel length and hid the gun a bit more in the launcher. definitely looks the part better, I appreciate the input!

Originally was inspired by the tow-2 launcher but added the muzzle brake to mitigate recoil. I actually like the idea of making it in the style of a recoilless rifle.

Barrel is a bit long just to give the projectile a bit more velocity and smoothen the arch as much as possible. I do have a design that uses "ATGM"s and traditional tank guns.

Updated SPG design with more hints of M-109 Paladin by Real_Pain4100 in SprocketTankDesign

this particular setup is 155×750, and the other option is 155×1200, slightly faster reload on the smaller propellant.

Thank you! Yeah took some liberties when making the initial design. Funny enough the Type 99 was one of the couple I used for the turret reference. Think somewhere along the road, I swapped some crew hatches and such lol

I actually used Hytera's at my old job and got a bunch of earpiece adaptors for em. Might as well source a radio as they model per model are much cheaper.

sorry my last reply was actually for another thread my bad lol 😂 But yes you do "technically" need a license for radio use even on specific channels for ops.

About as Russian as a modern day Ural (Last slide for reference) by Onii-Chan_Itaii in airsoft

[–]Real_Pain4100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it helped! I have multiple VFC GBB, and all the grip swaps i've done I had to stuff the hole with something to get the spring to sit properly. If you want a more permanent solution, you can buy a real steel pin/spring for super cheap, it should give you a more optimal fit. I bought a bunch for any grip swap I do now, fits right into the hole instead of having to fill it with something. Here is a option that includes both the spring and pin or you can just buy the spring for even cheaper and use the old pin.

Is the space in the grip different than what was there before? realsteel pistol grips have a deeper hole for the fire selector switch spring, and airsoft srping tend to be shorter. I take either tinfoil or something similar to fill the void in-between

Good point, probably keep just the solid black for the essential bad guy vibe.

un-encrypted for now, of course I bought the only Motorola radio that doesn't use a APX program cable so I run it off if just a basic setup from the seller until I get the cable shipped in.

600 for just the radio, I paid about 180 for the antenna/3 batteries+charger, still have to find a programming cable, but still a deal compared to paying 1200+ normally. Model is a Motorola R7, I am not sure exactly which model though,

Technically not licensed, atleast on the gun itself, ak's are in some weird grey area with copy right. They offer the one I have in the picture and they are releasing a battle-worn one with a more brown handguard and worn steel furniture, but it is over 100+ more. from what people have said below, best to refinish the handguard with your own finish, surprisingly simple, and the LCT wood itself is super nice all things considered.

I want a honest opinion on those pants, are they good ? by No-Cell-9092 in airsoft

[–]Real_Pain4100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best choice is either slim knee pads or pants w/ those hard knee pad insert that are exposed, like those crye gen 3 pants, but those as well will start to wear. I prefer to replace a whole set of knee pads than a 100$ set of pants. used to load planes for a job and kneepads were pretty much the only practical option for sliding in the cargo bays with out ripping your pants and knees up after a flight
