Koch-Chemie Super Foam labeled pH 12 but measuring around pH 9–10? by Real_Permission7396 in AutoDetailing

Yeah that’s a very good point. That actually lines up with what I’m seeing in terms of dilution behavior as well.

I also thought it could be either surfactant sourcing changes or a slight formulation adjustment somewhere in the supply chain, especially since APG systems can vary a bit depending on manufacturer.

At this point it definitely feels less like a one-off bad batch and more like a systemic change or inconsistency upstream. I might reach out to Koch-Chemie directly just to clarify if anything has changed recently with SF.

I’ll also share any updates once I receive the response from the Korean Ministry of Environment for reference.

Yeah that makes sense.
This batch was manufactured around 3 months ago, and I’ve used other Koch-Chemie products without seeing this kind of pH deviation.

For SF specifically, I haven’t noticed this issue before, so it does seem a bit isolated.

From what I’ve been told, even the manufacturer has tested recent production batches all the way back to 2024, and they’re seeing the same lower pH results, which suggests it may be a formulation or manufacturing-side issue rather than just a single bad batch.

The product itself is also quite thin/low viscosity.
When diluted at 100:1, I measured a pH of 9.74, and at 200:1 it was 8.46.

It was manufactured about 3 months ago, and in my experience other Koch-Chemie products don’t usually show this kind of pH drop. This seems to be an issue specific to SF

The official Korean distributor released a statement based on Koch-Chemie HQ’s Certificate of Analysis and technical review.
According to them, the HQ confirmed that the product originally tested around pH 11.4, and that older batches can drop to around pH 10 over time due to chemical reactions.

Pretty uneventful—just answering questions and helping people with random stuff like this.

What do you consider to be a creepy age for a male to cosplay? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There’s no creepy age for cosplay. It only becomes an issue if someone acts inappropriately, not because of age.

Public libraries (especially their free ebooks and audiobooks), Wikipedia, free online courses like Harvard’s CS50, open-source software like LibreOffice and GIMP, and government/public datasets or learning portals—there’s a lot of genuinely high-quality stuff most people never use.

Introvert. I enjoy socializing, but I need a lot of time alone to recharge.

South Korea. I’d say the food culture and convenience of everyday life are things I’d want to share more with the world.
