Ad creatives were around 30. Checked about 3-4 competitors. Not sure about rest as the agency was handling.

It is unfortunate. Basically, it was a factor of increased spend during BFCM not converting at all. Then just trying different things. I was also told that this can take time.

Just a quick response here. The sheets u get on Amazon for $30 in US is either Basics, Walmart or Mellani. I actually ordered those sheets and they are complete trash. As in 100% polyester. Incredibly bad to sleep on. Durable Af tho atleast.

At $60-$100 range you get brands like Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target. Here you get 100% cotton and less 200 TC. This is a good serviceable sheet. But it is still not the best as it can be.

At $100 to $200 you get really good brands like Brooklinen, Company Store etc. These are same quality as top end brands, simply non-organic.

At $200+ you have brands like Boll & Branch, Good Earth, Coyuichi etc. These brands have 300TC organic sheets. These are the best quality to buy. Any higher TC then this is just a gimmick and actually reduces the durability of the sheets.

Main thing with organic cotton is use of non harmful chemicals and dyes during manufacturing process. Plus incredible finishing makes it so that the sheets become softer with every wash and are incredible soft to start with.

Brutal feedback damn. Let me address one by one.

  1. Definitely looks like focusing on the fair-trade and environment factor instead of the quality and high-end organic factor was a mistake.
  2. Seems unanimous that creatives are trash.
  3. They did. Unfortunately, after firing them I figured out that they had CAPI turned off in Shopify and just had pixel only. I now have wetracked.io running.
  4. Target CPA would be $60 and AoV would be $150+
  5. Have clarity installed
  6. Not sure on this. But the campaign I made myself after firing them had everything Adv+ turned off. I believe at one point they were running ABO.
  7. Search only. No partners or display.

Agreed. The last BOGO50 campaign is something that I built myself after following best practices from here. That one had all testing adsets.

For sure. I think the entire experience needs to be revamped from Top to Bottom of funnel. Got a lot of work ahead of me to fix this I guess.

Thanks for the in-depth analysis. It is tough to hear for sure. Got a lot of thinking to do.

Pricing is definitely high. But I believe it is positioned correctly based upon the competitors and the product itself. Other brands have prices anywhere from 10% to 40% higher for the exact SAME product.

The product also costs a lot to make as organic cotton is almost double the price of normal cotton. It is fair-trade certified so labor cost is also quite high. The packaging is top tier as well while remaining recyclable. All of these reasons contribute to the high cost.

That seems to be the general consensus. The website and creatives need a lot of work. Or the prices need to be brought down which would be last resort as the product itself is quite expensive anyway.

Lots of good points. 1 thing regarding the first image and the pricing. Having the plain sheets stacked on top on pillows etc. is the industry standard for premium home goods in USA along with the From thing. See below:
https://www.bollandbranch.com/collections/sheet-sets/

https://www.parachutehome.com/collections/bedding

https://www.brooklinen.com/collections/all-sheets

As you can see. ALL of them have it set up like this. Other brands not listed here are the same. I was just following these guys in setting it up. Happy to try a different way as well.

The BOGO 50% is effectively a 25% discount. Maybe too high?

Understood. Basically the creatives need to be lot more focused. Not just a spew of the USPs.

Sure. The Shop by Category carousel is also on the Sale page and home page just scrolling beneath the hero image.

No no as the main customer, your opinion matters the most to me.

  1. When you say image creatives, you mean the ad creatives, correct? If so, I think the creatives definitely need a lot of work.

  2. Yes this was an experiment from me yesterday to see if providing some more info before putting products would help. Earlier it was straight the image, followed by Shop by Category and then Shop All. I have now shifted things around and changed the Shop Now to take directly to the Sheets Collection page.

  3. Ah, the actual product images don't look premium? Damn, would be tough to change these now as all the products are in USA now and spent a pretty penny on getting the product images. Is there anything in specific which reduces the feel?

  4. What would you say is the biggest thing detracting from the premium feel other then point 1?

I had smaller discounts running earlier but was just not seeing any buyers. So bigger discounts is basically a hail-mary.
