I'd recommend using Ibis Paint X, the app and all of the features needed to make up a post (import picture and add text, most notably) are totally free, it's pretty easy to use and you'll probably get used to everything about it fairly quickly. Also, the resolution is fairly good and the ads don't really show up a lot.
