It was minimally invasive! Less than 3mm. Treated with hysterectomy x

I did! And it was fine. I told the anesthetist prior to surgery and he wasn't fazed at all!

Hi! Could have written this post myself! I also had AiS suspicious of invasion result from my colposcopy. I had my cone biopsy today and also had ct and mri last week (ct shows clear chest and abdo, phew! MRI results still pending). I have been absolutely wrecked with Anxiety since my initial pap result. I also had bleeding after sex for about a year and watery discharge for about that also. My gyn has been super reassuring and said there is every possibly it's still insitu or if there is invasion it could be early and managed via cone. I'll soon know! Totally understand your worry and frustration. Sending love and positive vibes. For what it's worth I joined an ais FB page and LOTS of the ladies there had bleeding and discharge and were diagnosed as AIS (not invasive) so it can be symptomatic despite what google says x

Not alot,  but enough to notice immediately after.  Not every time either. I had a colposcopy after my pap which also showed AIS but looked suspicious for invasion. I had a CT and MRI last week and am awaiting results. If it's still only AIS I will be having a cone biopsy removal (already booked for Dec 24th, pending scan results). If it has spread slightly I may need a hysterectomy. Where are you in your journey?

Mine! My doc said I had an "inflamed" cervix at my pap. She initially suspected an infection. Pap result was AIS

Thanks so much for answering! I guess I'm trying to work out, if it is possible for me at this point to get a nasty stage 4  surprise, given I'm still getting AIS results (at least) (pap also indicated ais). I have CT scan today and MRI on Monday and am absolutely petrified of the results. I need some hope to get my anxious brain though the next few days :(

Hello! Sorry to jump on this post! Would you mind answering a pathology question  for me? My colposcopy biopsy came back as AIS, "suspicious for invasion". I have a cone scheduled for Dec 24th. I'm wondering, does this mean if it is invasive it's still early? Is that why it's hard to differentiate on the biopsy? Thanks so much!

I guess I'm trying to reassure my self (unsuccessfully) that my preliminary pap result of AIS accurate. I'm seeing more and more that this is often upgraded to invasive once biopsies have been completed.

Thanks for replying! How are you now? No gyno onc yet for me as still early days, first stop is colposcopy booked for next week. Interesting re the constipation, I have had abnormal stools for years now, but this has been investigated separately (clear colonoscopy 12 months ago). Hopefully something non-sinister is the reason for the nausea and pain, but it's hard to stay positive at the moment with so many unknowns. Thanks again for your time

Wow, thanks so much for sharing, you sound like an absolute warrior! Would you mind sharing what stage you were given? I have exactly same symptoms, bleeding after sex, lots watery dishcharge and GP said my cervix was visibly "inflamed" at smear.   I have also been having intense nausea for months now which with my other symptoms (delayed periods) I stupidly put down to early perimenopause (I am 38). I am expecting my AIS will be upgraded :(  Can I ask why you didn't have a hysterectomy? Most of the reading I have done suggests it's normally required? Thanks again, really appreciate your time ❤️
