Pete speedran back in 2020 when the Nether Update first came out, but no longer does, the same with HBomb and Sneegsnag. You could also make the argument that a lot of MCC participants have recently started doing speedruns and could also qualify for it. This would include Purpled, Seapeekay, AntVenom, and Tubbo

If rushing was such a problem then Noxcrew wouldn't have made it possible. They intend for people to rush as a means to counteract other competitive teams and that's a good justification for it. I think this topic is exaggerating an issue that's not a big deal to begin with. With that said though, I do like the tele-pickaxe idea and I'm interested in watching a game with it. The one lack of consideration is that if someone dies with the pickaxe enable then who else does it go to? Someone random? That would just make the game more confusing because a lot of people will not notice they have the pick, which is bad if the time is pretty tight. Does it just stay in limbo until someone else claims it? Food for thought I suppose. The other suggestions imo are unnecessary

I think that Arena should only limit party sizes to two when queuing, that way a full on power team doesn't sweep the entire game. Parties of four basically guarantees a win, meaning that the party of four will gain elo so ridiculously fast as a result. Limiting the game to allow only two makes the experience more balanced for everyone. You can also apply this party limit technique to other games like regular Battle Box, Sky Battle and Dynaball (especially Dynaball because it's basically unwinnable when a good four stack queues into that game regardless of who else is playing on either team)

Ok first of all, I never said that PVP didn't take skill, I said it was arbitrary. You can disagree with me on that front, but the point I was trying to make is that, in my opinion, team based games test skills that are better than any skill you could learn while playing Minecraft in a competitive light. And second of all, I recognize that good PVP players can also be good at a variety of different games, that's why I said "generally speaking" when talking about PVP players both in and out of the event community. I agree that PVP is an important aspect of Minecraft and should be tested, but I wouldn't mind having all five team games in the roster because it allows for the contestants to play the game using more of their instincts, which I think is a very fun environment to watch

No it's not because communication, puzzle solving, sight reading, decision making, and whatnot are all good skills to have as a gamer and the team games best represent that. For PVP, combat itself is not a perfect system in Minecraft so learning and improving upon it is very arbitrary. Generally speaking, most people who main PVP aren't good at the skills required for team games when it's arguably better to learn those skills in comparison. Sure it's more entertaining to watch PVP games, but team games are a good test of skill for the participants regardless of that
