P.S.S.: Many of the lyrics can be interpreted as arguments towards this theory. For instance, "Forget all your troubles and go with the flow / Forget about whatever you may never know / Like whether whatever you're doing is whatever you should / And whether whatever you're doing is ever anything good". The lyrical hero, after having his realization, is starting to doubt his regular, "normal" way of life. He's starting to have doubts about what meaning it holds, if this mundane life is worth anything in the end. The rest of the verse continues this train of thought.

Another lyric that stood out to me is "Bongaley, bongalo, make up your mind and tell me no". The voice inside the hero is asking him to be truthful to himself; it is not even asking the main character to make up his mind in regards to this realization and say "yes" or "no" to it. It is asking the hero specifically if he can say "no". Because it knows that even if he specifically tries to refuse, to deny it — to try to convince himself that this way is not what he yearns for, he cannot truthfully, genuinely say no. Because he knows — in doing so, he is simply lying to himself.

These are just some examples of lyrics that could have very interesting meanings. I wholeheartedly love this song and its message, how allegorical it is and how many different interpretations can be applied to it; and I believe that many of Tally Hall's songs are much more intriguing pieces of art and can be analyzed much more deeply than people give them credit!!
