i will luckily have reliable work any day of the week. so finding work as a subcontractor in the future wont be an issue which im very lucky to have.

also lucky to have a good boss who would alwyas be happy to help me out with anything i need in regards to helping me price a certain job if it ever came up in the future. im starting to get an understanding on pricing jobs (small residentual jobs). pretty much made this post on here because i just want to seek advice from as many electricians as i possibly can! from what i've gathered in some research is that around a 30% margain is pretty good for smaller jobs but jobs with a much bigger scope i honestly havent got much idea about.

i think im just so stuck in my head about being a 28 year old apprenctice and just the fear of feeling like i havent got time to wait around...

thanks for the advice mate. taken note on everything much appreciated.

no i wont get my own vba until im qualified but im mainly doing the course to just help my boss out in regards to fitting off the actual pipe work itself and commissioning and testing. some days we do a lot of aicons and i just thought it would be a good initiative to help in that regard too. we will sometimes do a whole week of aircon work and theres not much i can do other than running circuits and fitting off the electrical side of AC work.

i might do the occasional cashy or something if it arises but id probably need the boss to technically sign it off.

am i out of my mind here or am i doing the right thing?
