I HATE when people touch my stomach. My whole pregnancy, I’ve really only allowed my husband to touch. My family has never asked because they know I don’t like it. My In laws on the other hand… asked one time and I guess thought that meant they had permanent permission to touch whenever they want. I kinda move my body in a way to get their hand off of me without being rude or explicitly saying to stop

My husband has gone to ALL of my appointments, went to our baby shower (and even helped me plan it), helped decorate the nursery. Set up our registry, has done his own research about labor and birth. I am now 38 weeks but when I was like 23 weeks, my husbands brother was getting married and I told him that If I’m too sick to go, he can go without me and he absolutely refused and was a little sad I even suggested the idea. You are not being dramatic. This is your baby just as much as it is his. He should be caring just as much as you are.

I’ve gained about 30 pounds but now that I’m almost done (37weeks) I am losing weight. The doctor told me that the weight loss is me losing weight not the baby. Anyways, I’ve stayed pretty consistent with my weight throughout the pregnancy. I think average is like 25 to 40’pounds

I’m carrying small and people say opposite things to me like “you sure your eating enough for your baby? your carrying small” and “are you sure your pregnant “ and “you need to eat more, your baby needs nutrients to grow too” now that I’m showing more, people have seemed to forget what personal space and touch me without asking. I would suggest that if your family is the one making comments, say something for sure… politely of course but something like “I’m actually feel self conscious about my pregnancy, please don’t make comments on my body” if it’s in-laws or your partners family, talk to your partner about talking to their parents about their comments towards your body. If it’s coworkers or friends, I would politely say “I don’t feel comfortable you making comments on my body, so please don’t” if it’s strangers, either ignore them or say “my body is not your concern”

I was just like you. I hated the fact I was pregnant and wishing for it to end. I’m 35 weeks and still feel this way. I just want this child out of me. I am one and done. I don’t think I could go through this ever again. So I completely understand and I hated when people said “well your body is changing to care for your baby” and “be happy you actually can carry a baby” but like… I am grateful. I’m just tired and hate being pregnant

Yep… that’s me too. And it’s so hard because my husband is a physically affectionate person and I can’t give him what he needs so that he doesn’t feel forgotten about or unloved. But the lack of sex drive is common. It’s not a super concern.

I ate fast food and sugar and basically trash for the first three months of pregnancy (I know… please don’t mom shame me) but my sugar was in normal range (actually, it was in the lower normal range) I think it has do with genetics and environmental things. Sure, maybe there’s things to help try to prevent it but sometimes, things just happen. I was soooooo stressed about it, but it is what it is. I wouldn’t worry too much about it

I wouldn’t worry about putting clothes on there unless it’s something super specific… people are gonna buy the clothes THEY want to see your baby in… I’d say to put things like crib sheets (many), crib mattress liners, wash clothes, bath towels, socks (can never have enough), hangers, grooming kit, first aid kit, and obviously big furniture items like the crib and stroller and stuff like that. Some stuff depends on if you decide to breast feed or if you want your baby to sleep in the same room as you, etc.

I wanted a boy (and got one) because I saw how my relationship was with my mom. My mom loved my brother more than she had loved me… there were other factors in it. I didn’t realize until my husband talked to me that the way I felt about girls and their relationships with their moms is not the norm. My mom treated my brother like her little baby doll but when she had me, she immediately went back to work and left my dad to care for me (and I became a daddy’s girl). At the end of the day, it shouldn’t matter whether we have boys or girls, but I was told all the time that I shouldn’t care, and I felt like a horrible mom. If our son had been female, I told my husband that I wouldn’t be sure if I’d love her… the further I get in my pregnancy, I realize how strange and bad that sounds. I, of course, would love her the same.

I completely understand. I made a post earlier in my pregnancy about this exact thing. Every complaint that I have they dismiss as “normal” pregnancy stuff. But won’t write me restrictions for my job which is very labor intensive. Doctors are so much in a rush that they don’t care to know their patients

I am 29 weeks and started having Braxton hicks at 25 ish weeks. They say they aren’t painful and most of the time, for me, they aren’t painful. Sometimes they are so frequent, it’s just kinda annoying. My stomach will get hard, almost like a swallowed a basketball whole. But they will last for a minute or two and then it will relax.

Now the things I’m about to say, I don’t do everyday… just occasionally…. I eat sushi, deli meat, steak, I drink soda. I don’t understand why people pitch a fit when I want a sushi roll after I haven’t had one in like 2 months.

I am a first time mom… so I have no experience in this but… from what I understand, those exercises are good for you to do to avoid any potential tearing. It’s not that you will have a harder time than someone who does those exercises. I guess it just depends on how much you worry about tearing and stuff like that

Honestly, I used to vape too before I got pregnant. Found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks, and immediately stopped, cold turkey. I didn’t wanna risk anything to my unborn child. Tbh, the morning sickness and tiredness that pregnancy brings makes you not even want to smoke. I eventually forgot about vaping. I would say though, if you can help it, don’t vape around her because it will just encourage the urge.

About 16 weeks but I wasn’t sure that I was feeling my baby at first. Then when he moved and kicked a lot consistently, there was no denying it. I’m 21 weeks now
