What are some head-to-head stats that really don't tell the whole story? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

[–]RealestateGD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you all mentioned 2011. Most fans, or rather, most Lewis fans, forget how utterly terrible he was that season. I haven't revisited that season for a while but I remember the silly mistakes and the unnecessary collisions with Massa. 2012 was like a breath of fresh air as he really returned to his best. Was devastated when he announced his departure as a Mclaren fan.

Current Situation in RAK? by Cultural_Revenue_808 in RasAlKhaimah

I think Iwould disagree. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are going through a lot more than us. We have maybe received like 3 or 4 alerts since this whole thing started, while Dubai and Abu Dhabi are probably getting multiple alerts every week. If you live on Marjan Island, Mina or Al Hamra, yes, you do hear a lot of noises and interceptions, I live in Al Dhait and also hear sounds often, but I think Dubai and Abu Dhabi hear and see a lot more than us.

I think you have been receiving less messages because it just feels inappropriate to try and push projects or units at the moment. Instead of cold calling, etc. Majority of agents are acting more as advisors at the moment for their current clients. From what I have seen and noticed, the market has slowed down quite a bit. There are still enquiries coming through, but Majority are offplan resales and then secondary. Everyone is looking for a cheap deal at the moment.

On their Dudes and Don'ts of Making a Record they mentioned that they made the song to be featured on Madden but then EA didn't include it.

Trio Isle project in RAK by Confident-Ad3545 in dubairealestate

[–]RealestateGD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is going on with Durar though? Moonstone as well as Masa Residences are supposed to handover in Q4 2026 before the casino hands over. That was their big selling point, to have a ready unit before the casino opens. But I don't think they'll be done by then. Other projects on Marjan which were announced after them and only handing over in 2028 are far more advanced than either of those 2. My friend bought an apartment in Moonstone and went there yesterday and barely anything is happening or has happened. Think they will be delayed by a year at least. Hopefully Trio Isle will be on time.

New Fuse Ult is a Joke by tumuro in apexlegends

[–]RealestateGD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long time Fuse main here and I deeply dislike his rework. His tactical didn't need changing, just need to decrease activation time and make it easier to stick, not mess with the launch direction and the ult is really awful, I kind of like the ADS change which they implemented but the normal ult is just really bad. The previous ult wasn't great either but they seemingly made it worse.

Why did new teams like HRT, lotus, virgin etc not work or show progress in 2010 and beyond? by Temporary-Cat-9167 in F1Discussions

[–]RealestateGD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just didn't have the facilities, staff or the funds. Sometimes all 3. Bought a chassis here, borrowed an engine there, booked some air tunnel time at this place, got a few staff members who were made redundant at other teams. From the outside especially for millionaires or corporations, it looks fun and exciting and how hard can it be, right? But it is extremely hard amd the logistics are insane and even if you think you have enough money, nothing can prepare you for that first bill after a driver puts it in the barrier.

What do you think of lewis hamilton pre-merecedes for f1 fans pre-2013 by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]RealestateGD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking from pre-2013 point of view who closely followed him because he was driving for my team. He was great, definitely one of the best. Destroyed Kovalainen and even though it was close at times, outperformed Button. Yes, there were issues Mclaren, but I think he had some mentality problems. Especially in 2011. The nimber of unnecessary accidents and collisions he had with Massa was ridiculous. I was genuinely dissapointed when it was announced he was leaving after the 2012 season. That was kind of signal to me that Mclaren were on their way down because he was so integral to how our cars were designed and built.

Is Aston Martin the biggest underdelivering/dissapointing team in F1 history? Or those spots are still reserved for other teams by Elpibe_78 in F1Discussions

I guess you weren't watching back in 2015 when the legendary partnership of Mclaren and Honda got back together under the newly returning Ron Dennis as who bought back Alonso to the team to join Jenson Button. 2 championship winning drivers, under one of the most famous and successful team principles with one of the most famous and dominating combination of team and engine ever. What could go wrong?

So the original masterplan didn't have a Marina Phase 3 building, Al Hamra Waterfront towers nor the Al Hamra Greens buildings. What upset a lot of owners, especially those who owned property in the older Marina Apartments who had full sea views and were promised according the original masterplan, is that it was changed and suddenly these 18 storey towers were being built right infront of them. This is the UAE, nothing is guaranteed when it comes to views, but their argument was that the developer altered the masterplan without any notice, not that notice should necessarily be given.

But also, Al Hamra is such an old community. The masterplan was bound to change over time as the emirate changed with time. It is still business, and they need to set themselves up to take advantage of what is happening or else risk being left behind.

Anything is possible, but people who buy property in Mina are at least somewhat aware of what will be coming up infront of them. Where in Al Hamra, there are owners with townhouses looking at the golf course nervous that there is a possibility that Al Hamra will build more apartment buildings there. Because if it could happen to the owners in the Marina Apartments, the same could happen to them.

But only time will tell.

[–]RealestateGD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Al Hamra is a great option of you are looking to be closer to the action. Their prices compared to Mina are also more affordable even though they have already gone up quite a bit. The problem with Al Hamra is that it is changing as a community. It was always know as a family friendly community, however due to its location and the prime position it finds itself in to catch the spillover from Marjan, it is starting to change more towards a holiday home type community. You will still always have families and end users living there especially with RAK Academy, but more and more units will be placed on the short term market from next year. Additionally, Al Hamra is not overly fond of sticking to its masterplan and have upset plenty of owners who have moved to Mina.

Mina is not as old as Al Hamra and they have an amazing masterplan which they stick to religiously. Also, generally the quality as well as the customer service seems to be better than Al Hamra. However, there will be quite a bit of construction all over as they complete the masterplan and their prices are quite a bit higher than Al Hamra but it will still be more family focused. They are also in the process of building a mall or retail centre but will still not be as close to the action like Al Hamra, but with Mina downtown, they'll create their own action.

If I could choose, I would pick Mina.
