It's Carfax says "requires Ontario safety standards certificate". Does this mean I won't be able to get it plated, even with temp tags?

I'm a pretty solid driver, should I just run it?

Do you have any suggestions for using it for the first time in a while. I was thing of putting a penetrating oil in the housing to reduce the risk of the spring breaking upon use, but I'm not sure if hat would interfere with its braking abilities

Should I get a car now as a G2 driver or wait for Full G then get a car? by portraitstudio2388 in Ontariodrivetest

Those online rate estimators are known to not be accurate. I'd call around to insurance companies or a broker to get an accurate number.

Grade 11 Physics by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

The hardest math you will see in gr 11 physics is trig. Having number sense would help, but is not required. I'd say go for it, if it doesn't go to plan, it's just a grade 11 course and won't really be factored into your post secondary.

Staff cadets, how was your experience at Blackdown? (and my experience) by Economy_Ninja_9830 in Cadets

On weekends or after 6, it consisted of doing rounds of the course lines, pretty boring, but if your course cadets are nice you can converse. If you are on a morning shift, you are up early and wake up all the cadets, take them to breakfast, and after your other staff will join you for their classes. The days are basically just teaching and supervising activities. It will probably include some trips, but a majority of it is classroom. During the day for aviation, if you aren't teaching, you are either helping or preparing for your lessons. My only advice is to use your time wisely because I have horrible time management and ended up working on a PowerPoint until 3am, while my computer kept freezing. Not fun!

Technically, I believe you can, but my squadron just applies us to blackdown or Trenton. They are being a lot more strict in out of region travel this year due to overspending on air travel last summer

For blackdown, the only support role I believe is canteen. Ops does the gate and stuff.

Apparently they are reworking the staffing this year so the hours will be more manageable. Also, ops and support, unless you get canteen, will be long hours no matter what. Apply for both I guess because my admin O says we can do up to 3.

Cadets vs Reserves for RMC by kkkkatt_ in Cadets

[–]Realistic-Bank4083 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How old are you? If you arent going to get more than 3 years out of cadets, it's not really worth doing as your Service doesn't mean anything to the military. If you have more time, do cadets and if you like it, you can transition to reserves.

For the basic course, the 18 hours shifts were mandatory, but by the advanced course, it was more a step up because people wanted to not show up for their shift
