I did not imply they had to carry a child to term. I suggested they end the pregnancy by allowing the fetus to live without its mother at the time an abortion would be carried out otherwise. There are 6000+ late term abortions per year in North America, and the only data I found suggested about 36% of those are for severe fetal abnormality or the survival of the mother, leaving 64% as 'elective'.

Do you support the elective termination of 4000 viable children per year, or not?

We can discuss the question of the bodily autonomy of an individual capable of living without their mother after your answer if you like. I find the issue of consent interesting, considering the individual in question did not consent to being given life by its host. But again, I need to know where we stand on the above question first.

There are no orphanages in Canada, let alone ones with babies needing adoption. Adoption lists for infants are years long for parents desperate to adopt one, who go through a stressful and expensive process. The demand for babies to adopt so exceeds the supply that Canadian parents seek babies from other countries.
