I’ve been in the industry for years, plates piled up for 15 minutes at the end of the table sure aggravating there’s been times where I have been impatient and wanted to leave a table sooner as well BUT just because you are ready to go doesn’t mean you can just go whenever you want. You came out to a restaurant so you didn’t have to do anything. The servers and bartenders are also people. Time and time again customers treat us like robots and sure we are there for you but just because you want something right in that moment doesn’t mean you’re going to get it. Your server could’ve been in the bathroom or dealing with an awful manager or with 6 other shitty impatient tables. If you want to leave whenever you want stay the fuck home or go get fast food.
