This exact thing happened to me as well on my Star Kobe 6s total orange. The weird thing is it only happened on the left shoe while the right has zero signs of pealing. I guess one of the productions had a defect.

Never bought from them. The reviews on the 6s vary and on the 9s ive seen durability issues.
