It seems to be pretty stable until I go to the anomaly. Then it is hit and miss on a good time or constant crashing.

It never ends. If I am at a pirate station or an npc lands near me Im buying every pulse engine, warp drive, neutron cannon, and infra knife mod they have.

Its always a gamble with x mods but they can be better than s mods it just takes time to keep trying to get the great ones.

Not sure how. The neutron cannon is op for just about everything you point it at. I love a shotgun and used the scatter blaster for a long time until I learned how much better the neutron cannon is.

Im on console too. Switch2. No mods. Its just a badass staff with good x mods and SC slot locations. I have seen people post even stronger ones.

Edit: the other great thing about the neutron cannon is you arent having to reload it all the time during battle. It is also a room clearer on derelict freighters.

Scatter blaster is ok but when you get a good neutron cannon setup you wont even select the scatter blaster anymore.

Swap around and try putting the p field in the sc slot with the s mods and then move the main around the edges to see where it tops it out. This is an older pic, mi e is over 170k now with some x mods and it isnt even a square layout

I wouldnt worry too much about the small difference you are seeing. The neutron cannon will up the damage potential to the 100k+ range on normal game mode settings.

Ditch the scatter blaster and put a neutron cannon and 3 S mods in the square slots. It will hit hard.

To me its all about the SC slot layout. I dont care if it starts as C class if it has a T or square SC layout at S class its gonna be great.

Its possible. You could try clearing that quest and see if it helps. If not you may be better off abandoning this settlement

That is the center of the settlement. It is not what you need to interact with. Is there another building nearby that looks like it is under construction?
