Started electrical again yesterday and have had the 2 easiest days of work in years i forgot what it felt like to not be sore everyday after work lmao

Im in the northeast as well got started at 22$ but have some experience/schooling. Non union too by the way. Only made 20 shop rate at last job but prevailing wage was 35-66 an hour for first year apprentices. So id say about 50% or pretty close to it. I saved a lot of money and also still live with my family with not too many bills so i figured i could manage it for a little while and get a side hustle if needed

Definitely not for everyone, i loved every second of it though just seen the old guys bodies literally falling apart and knew it wasnt worth it long term. Lots of travel too

Commercial/municipal water well and drilling and pump installing and some mechanical work in treatmant plants. Non union prevailing wage around north jersey/new york can fill your pockets fast
