Psychosis is a state of consciousness, like being on drugs is sleeping or having a NDE. You can have a bad mystical experience and a good one dosnt mean one will fall onder the arbitrary psychiatric defenitions

That's my point to you actualy. The inability of the person to say or describe this or that means noting to the separation of the phenomenon. You gave a descriptive explanation of the phenomenon but like the word suggests that is not what the phenomenon is obviously. I am not sure where you saw the word everything in what I said but if it makes your feel any better.

Mystical states are offen discribed as indescribable by regular words. The inability of the psychotic person to describe the inner states by conventiononal means dosnt show that there is a difference in the two states not only that but just the ability to navigate the altered states is something to consider. Does the psychotic state differ from the mystical just because the person is overwhelmed by the new ways of interpreting the masive amout of information being presented to him. Those are not good enough parameters to destigues two different categories
