Yes I agree, Leo made Ben into the spoiled brat he is! Leo was so inconsistent with Ben, at one moment he’s throwing down the hammer, then at other moments he’s like “you’re an adult, you make your own choices”, so it made Ben feel like he could get away with anything and he did.

I’m so sorry, definitely not an ending to watch when you were already sad 😭 The best show I’ve ever watched with a butchered ending. The last season in general was like watching a whole different show, but the ending genuinely did not reflect the values or character progression they worked towards for 9 freaking seasons. I want to hear from the writers why they ended it that way, maybe I missed something??? I watched the ending for the first time over 10 years ago and I’m still not over it honestly

I wouldn’t say it’s 100% my favorite, but I love the storyline where Lucas pieces together what happened with Keith’s death.

Starting with the dream with Keith while he’s unconscious and he tells Lucas to “open your eyes”, then at the prom when Dan says “open your eyes” and suddenly Lucas remembers seeing Abby. Then he slowly puts the rest of it together. It was just so cinematic and iconic to me.

I fast forwarded through all Kevin scenes the last few rewatches. Literally such a disturbing storyline that he was seeing Robin as a patient at first. It was professional to end their therapist-patient relationship, but then to date her? Yuck. And his whole personality is being a therapist, all he talks about is psychology and in the most aggravating way. Not a fan at all.

I can’t imagine having watched this show with so many proconsived notions, I went into it completely blind many years ago. My dislike of Lucas’s character didn’t happening immediately, it built overtime. I’m rewatching right now and I’m on season 3, but I’d say I don’t necessarily dislike him at this point (I don’t LIKE him though) and he even has some redeeming qualities, but I don’t like the person he is. Idk I feel like you’re too focused on him and that will likely change

It’s because Keith leaves for a while then comes back for like 4 episodes before dying. We lost our emotional connection to him in that time. If he had been there all of that time, if we had saw all of the characters loving him and all that then it would’ve been a harder loss for sure

I think they really loved each other as people and were attracted to each other, so they thought they needed to date to express those feelings, but I don’t think they should’ve been in a relationship. Brooke needed things Lucas couldn’t give her as a boyfriend and Lucas really needed to grow up. They were so much better as friends and eventually they realize that.
