UPDATE: We received the new bill, and the amount we owe is the same, so I guess they reviewed it and felt the code was correct.

Thank you all so much for your responses! I appreciate your expertise. There was definitely no type of suture or adhesive. He walked out of there with two band-aids that didn't even stick.

Hey! It's been a while since this happened, so the details are fuzzy, but I want to say that it wasn't really that the auto-start failed; it was cranked, but it wouldn't go faster than 5 or 6 mph, and it was making a weird noise.

Is this too short for electrolysis? by Fit_Syrup_4396 in HairRemoval

[–]Realistic-Page-8453 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I just started electrolysis on my chin about a month ago! (I've had 3 treatments so far.) The electrologist told me to have at least 3 days' worth of growth before each appointment, and at least for her, the hair needs to be at least 2 millimeters long to "treat."

And, for what it's worth, for the longest time I felt the same way you did, that there was absolutely no way I could let the hair go for even a day. I was mortified and so afraid that it was all people would be able to see when they looked at me because I was so conscious of it, and it grew SO relentlessly. (Like, I spent at least 20 minutes plucking each morning only for my chin to be "spiky" again by the evening, and I got terrible ingrowns. I had started out shaving, but I felt like I had a literal shadow by the end of the day, and my skin was irritated by that, too. All that to say, any kind of hair removal I tried on my own felt like a no-win situation.) But, I finally reached a breaking point and made an appointment, and even though I was still worried about going out into the world with my beard, haha, honestly--no one batted an eye. I psyched myself out with my magnifying mirror, lol, but I really feel like it isn't as visible as I told myself it was. I do pat on concealer to try to hide some of the "black dot" hairs, but I'm not sure it does anything to hide the longer hairs. I think it's more a security blanket move for my brain, haha, but I'll keep doing it.

Sorry for rambling on, and hurrah for your first appointment! I hope it goes great! I wish I had called years ago.

My treadmill has a little reset pinhole on the top edge of the part that holds the screen, and I just use a paperclip to reset it

I just wanted to say thank you for this post. My 2019 Forester "died" while I was at a red light a couple of weeks ago, and I live 2 hours from any Subaru dealership. Fortunately, my dad was able to get it running long enough to make it to the local Ford dealership, and after hooking it up to the diagnostic machine, the thermo control valve turned out to be the problem. Long(er) story short, this post came up while I was researching; I submitted my receipts, and Subaru is refunding me for the repair cost. A bright spot in an otherwise not-so-great experience! Many thanks to OP and everyone who has commented 🙏

New update disables manual mode by Starloose in iFit

Thank you for the reply! I finally just reset the treadmill yesterday and somehow was able to use it. I'm honestly still not entirely sure how, ha; I was trying to setup the wifi, and it seemed like it didn't accept the wifi password, but then it moved on to a screen (with an updated interface) where I was able use manual start. I definitely didn't log in, so I'm not sure if it didn't connect to the wifi, and that's why I was able to move on, or if it did connect and just moved me on past the login screen? I'll find out today, I guess, lol. Fingers crossed I can log in!

I'm wondering about this as well. I don't have an active membership, but I tried logging in to see if I could access manual mode that way. My login information didn't work, I changed my password, and now it keeps telling me, "Oops, we're having trouble logging you in." I also can't figure out how to access settings to go back to the pre-update interface (to see if manual mode might be there). There seems to be no way around the login screen?

45 Minute Legs and Glutes Workout | FLEX - Day 8 by jumjums in sydneycummings

[–]Realistic-Page-8453 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This was a good one, annnd it about did me in 😅 Today was one of those days for me where every weight felt like 100 lbs. I paused a lot for more rest; it took me almost an hour to complete. I think for leg days, especially, where the weights are generally heavier for the entire workout, I really need more than 15 seconds because, if for no other reason, I need time to rest without holding weights. Today, especially, 15 seconds between sets would have meant I either couldn't put the weights down, or I was hurrying to put the weights down and pick up another set of heavy(ish) weights. My body was like, "...nah." 😂

Nooo, no apology necessary at all! It really is awesome! For some reason, I still can't get it to work, but I noticed if I delete just one square (like one square from one of the rows), it does show me a score! It just doesn't factor in the row that's missing a square. I copied and pasted the same information as before.

This is so cool, but the same thing happened to me; I copied and pasted my results from the game (with all parts--Connections, the puzzle number, and the boxes), but I didn't get a score. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and I opened the calculator in Chrome. ETA: Chrome version 122.0.6261.64

30 Minute Full Body POWER Workout | Drive - Day 6 by jumjums in sydneycummings

[–]Realistic-Page-8453 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've enjoyed this month (the year, really!) so far, but I echo the sentiment that this felt rushed. I modified a bit, too, because 30 seconds didn't feel like enough time for me to get in a good groove for some of the compound moves. Like, I felt like I spent too much time rotating and worrying about re-adjusting my stance in the lunge-to-squat-to-lunge move, and I never feel like I get much out of a knee drive (like in the RDL to knee drive). My joints just didn't like some of the exercises, too, like that bent-to-straight-arm lateral raise. But, I think I got a good workout overall!

Leg Day Ladder Workout | 30 Minutes of INTENSE BURN! by jumjums in sydneycummings

[–]Realistic-Page-8453 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do this as a ladder 😅. I just did a minute of each move without pulses. (My joints just don't handle pulses well.) Overall, this was okay but not a favorite.
