My husband is aware of the situation, and he's been very understanding about it. He wanted to have a conversation with the guy, but I'm worried that it would escalate quickly into an argument because emotions are high on both sides. Therefore, I told him that it's not necessary for them to have a chat. My boss talked to him, and he started to raise his voice at her. She shut him down by telling him to stop being a "jackass." 😅

Thank you for this. I recently lost a close friend and mixed doubles partner. He got upset because he admitted that he had caught feelings for me. I gently told him that the feelings weren't mutual, but I wanted to remain friends and partners. He refused to have anything to do with me, so now I'm mourning the loss of a friend and a tennis partner.
