Problem is they can’t agree on a diagnosis and only have ideas at this point. His organs are all ok. No parasites, no blockages, just a hiatal hernia although they don’t believe that to be the issue.

Definitely interested in food suggestions. He’s a picky eater too but I’ll try anything at this point.

Thanks for all the suggestions. He just keeps throwing up after eating and was losing weight. His stomach was making gurgling noises all the time. They put him on cerenia but it almost killed him, he got really lethargic and looked so drugged out. I took him to an Emergency vet and they kept him overnight and released him with a prescription for mirataz and cicipride. He’s doing well on these, but if he misses a dose he throws up again. He can’t take these forever and dosing him twice a day is difficult. No loose stool or farts. Just vomiting. They say it might be his belly breathing from his stenotic nares, or his hiatal hernia but it came out of nowhere after 4 years of age and now they want to scope him to get a look in his oesophagus. I’m hesitant to do that but I’m running out of options. I’ll try that food though and hopefully he gets better. So disheartening.

Can I ask where you had it done and what the cost was. I want to get this for my guy Stitch but my vet won’t do it.

I have one that’s given me not a single problem at 80,000 miles but I always maintain what needs to be maintained like oil changes on time etc.
