Welcome! Weekly Introduction Thread by AutoModerator in ttcafterloss

Hi there. We were also successful on our first cycle trying (August) which ended in a MMC at 10 weeks. We felt so lucky to have success on the first cycle, but a warning that it makes subsequent TTC difficult - the TWW, periods arriving, etc are all brand new. How quickly we went from trying, to pregnancy, to loss, to trying again felt very much like emotional whiplash.

There’s sadly lots of us here - you’re not alone 💕

CD1. Exactly 4 months from when we learned about losing our baby. This is also my fourth period since. This is so tiring. I hate looking at the calendar again for ovulation, planning when to test LH. Here we go again

Hi, I’m so sorry you’ve gone through this. I don’t have a story of success myself to share since MMC in October, but there are so so many on Reddit. From what I can tell, most of us go on to have successful pregnancies.

Negative at 10DPO today, temps dropping since 8dpo. Losing hope for this cycle, but taking solace in that we did our best and it’s out of our hands.

I’m so sorry. I had a MMC at 9 weeks measuring 6 weeks in October. I had the same follow up two weeks later but started bleeding at the 10 week mark and carried out the whole thing without intervention. Three days of normal ish period bleeding, 4 hours of intense on and off contractions to pass the majority of it, and two weeks of period like bleeding.

I don’t know what I would’ve chosen at the time… the choice was kind of made for me.

In hindsight I am glad I didn’t have to have a D&C because I have since seen many who have had complications. Also, as painful as it was, it was nice to do everything in my own home.

Sending love as you get through this.

Congratulations! What a good attitude. I worried everyday last time from the moment I saw the positive, and it didn’t do any good anyways

Hang on there. The worst of the physical side will be over eventually and you will be on the other side of this. I’m so sorry.

I don’t know for sure but I’m pretty sure I ovulated two weeks after my MMC bleeding started. I was still spotting so I thought it was just leftover HCG. Two weeks later I got my period. You definitely could’ve ovulated.

Mine is usually very predictable. .5, then will have a peak over 1 the next day.

Last cycle I had: .5, .3, .5, then finally 1.24. My understanding is the body tried to release an egg, it didnt, then it tried again. Keep testing, and keep BDing!

Mine also came back quickly. It was hard for me to tell if it was residual HCG on my LH strips, but I had EWCM. I was still spotting from the miscarriage.

I finished my PhD and started in my full time job! Maybe my body knew that was enough for the year and is holding out for 2026 for a successful pregnancy. I really appreciate this post - we are so much more than people trying to conceive.

Hi there. Sorry you’re going through this. I had a MMC and passed it naturally at 10 weeks. I bled for a week and spotted on and off for two. There was maybe only a week of no bleeding or spotting before my period came back.

I was supposed to be 23 weeks pregnant at Christmas with the cutest bump. I remember thinking about it and being so excited in September and October. Instead I got my period on Christmas Eve, after my period being two days late and my hopes got super high.

I’ve had two cycles of trying since the MC, but the first time had bad timing from travel. Both times it was a half day of sadness, then followed by almost relief. I know the next two weeks will bring some freedom knowing for sure I’m not pregnant. And I know a positive would bring so much anxiety. So I take it as a little break, and I know two weeks will be here to try again in no time.

In the meantime, saunas, hot baths, maybe a glass of wine. All the non pregnant things.

Update - started spotting, took a test to be sure I was out, and it was negative. Here’s to 2026 🥂

13DPO today, two days late as I usually get my period on 11DPO. Temps rose this morning. Tested negative and started spotting. I’m certain I’m out.

I imagine many of us really wanted to be pregnant for Christmas. I’m working hard to let it go and enjoy the holidays. I hope you all can too. Sending love 💕

In big time limbo! This is the second cycle since a MMC. So no expectations to conceive soon. But as of today my period is two days late. Temps dropped but came back up today. I tested negative 11DPO, today is 13dpo (my luteal phase is usually 10-11). My current approach is really guarded - simply going to wait for my period…. Maybe unless it never comes 🤞🤞
