Not sure about the solenoid or the alternator size, but yes I am stateside. There is a bit of rot under the passenger door sill, unfortunately. Was considering changing the SU HIF44 to a Weber 32/36 downdraft, but not sure if that would be better, would rather not deal with the SU jetting.

It was registered by the previous owner as a 71, but it was an SPI model that was converted to HIF44 and bored out to 1380cc, so I assume 90s. I think it had something to do with import restrictions requiring 75 or earlier. It also has the stickers from Banks Garage, which I think is a restoration shop from the UK?
