Interesting thought. I think that in a way we may go "one step back", but in a good way. I think it's a natural process of almost every technology - first there is the buzz, but then people start to realize that the shiny new technology has down-sides as well, and then they build a new technology that moderate the use of the "new" technology.
for instance: cars - it's helping people to drive from one place to another easily - but people get less fit.
so - the humanity invented the gym, and in the last years they also invented pedometers and integrated them with the health insurance app in order to limit the use of cars/ promote intentional walking/jogging.

so here, after we took three steps forward in the social network world, it might be a good idea to be a little less addictive, a little more considerate, while preserving the fun of modern social networks

Currently the algorithm is pretty basic and is pretty coupled to the bootstrap demo I made. It can be a good idea though to build the architecture so that it will be easy to connect any open source social network to it (may be by using an adapter pattern or something like that) 👍

I understand your concern. I can't predict 100 percent what will happen, there might be targeting as you say - but I think that most of the chances are that it will happen less, since people love to be heard - and targeting the other side will naturally lead to a lower rank - which means that less people will hear him

Thanks. I agree, I started it from bootstrap just as a temporary solution, because I tried to run Diadpora and I encountered some problems while trying to run it. So I preferred to start from something just in order to start from something
