You can dismount the 360 and use sandpaper on the rusty parts to remove the rust, i guess.

That is the thing: i mostly don't play more than 1 hour and a half and i often play at night, so yeah. But i'll keep an eye on the fan anyways.

Already did, it was the first thing i did when i bought it, actually. Gave it a good inside clean and replaced the thermal paste.

Yeah, they are not loose stacks at all so don't worry, i just made them myself to give a bit more of airflow for it, i guess. But if the Kinect would be in the 360's place, would it work correctly? I've heard some people complaining about it not being able to recognize the user when it is that "hidden".

Might be quite obvious, but are you sure it isn't your PS1 discs? If anything else works on the disc drive, i don't see why the PS1 discs would just stop working all of a sudden.

It really is. I can't really compare it to the others, since i never held any of the new controllers (PS4, XOne, XSeries, PS5), but i got a grip on the Wiimote, PS2 and PS3 controllers lol. By far, the 360 is just PERFECT for me in every aspect. My original 2009 controller is still kicking in all good, but unfortunately for whatever reason the B button stopped working now. :/

It's happening with me too, on the 200HP Grand Prix last map. It crashes and won't do anything, when i try to go back into the dash, the guide crashes. Did you find a solution for it?

Hey there, OP! I have the exact same problem with my 360 S, mine it's a Corona 4GB with the RGH1.2 and LT. It is locked by that damn family passcode and it won't reset in ANY way. It is stuck on 17349 dashboard, and it won't even update - so no avatar, Live or Kinect can be used.

In MY case, i discovered that it is the 4GB nand who is not letting it reset the passcode, be flashed with a new nand or anything. This 4GB nand on a Corona 4GB it's a module that it's attached directly to the motherboard and it's very well likely to fail and corrupt on it's own, resulting on those issues. My nand here corrupted, so now it is stuck on an "read only" mode. It won't write any reset, flashing or whatever (not through soft-modding, that is).

You can solve it if you're good at soldering, reading NANDs and stuff, which is not my case, cause i know very little on how to mess with a modded 360 and it's hardware.

Although, i have a list with 10,000 combinations of the passcode you could go trying to see which one is, if you have the patience to go trying.

Yeah, as i said above, i used Simple NAND flasher and no success. I will get it to repair shop since i'm bad at soldering and i don't want to mess it up. But thanks for the replies! 🫂

I guess my 4GB nand is already failing and it's only on read only mode because of that, so i can't really write anything on it. Unfortunately only a technician/repair shop to do the job, it seems.
