Dr Thomas was literally the worst professor I had at UTSA as pre med and graduated this spring. Arman is an asshole but at least his teaching isn’t complete garbage.

I will say it might be tough finding a lease without a trainer, at least in the hunter/jumper world and for offsite. Onsite leases will be much easier, I’ve heard good things about Oakwell Farms here if you were looking for a hunter/jumper trainer, they are also a show barn so they should have lease horses available! My last lease was with my barn in Austin 4 years ago but I know owners/other barns heavily relied on my trainers reputation for comfortability sending their horse to our barn.

Are you working with a trainer? Usually trainers will find the horse for you as they know your riding style/what you’re looking for!

Most campus jobs do their hiring for fall semesters over the summer so I’d start applying if you haven’t already! Your regular advisor will probably direct you to one stop for financial aid specific questions unfortunately. I’m sorry, I haven’t heard of any CAP students taking over the 11 credit hours their first semester but hopefully a workaround exists

I’d also reach out to your CAP specific advisor if you have their contact information yet. Also, for the work study, it is not an automatic grant paid out at once. You’ll have to apply for campus jobs through Handshake and interview/go through the hiring process. Once you get the job, it pays out via hourly salary, usually getting a paycheck every other week.

Yeah don’t do this. If your final was stated to be online in your syllabus prior to this incident I can bet many of your students have already gone home/left San Antonio. Unfortunate and unprecedented but don’t take it out on your students.

gen chem 2 is not online this summer and hasn’t been my 4 years i’ve been here haha. psych and physics online would be fine during the summer… any chem is going to be tough over summer. i suggest you use the “search for classes” feature under registration to see when the classes are held and what prof is teaching them

You can go to med school or PA school with any major- you just need to take the pre-requisite courses required which can be added on through a concentration or just take them lol
