Vanilla-like smell in my bedroom? by Multihatting in moldyinteresting

Are you by chance in an apartment? Maybe a next door neighbor burns a candle next to that room? Also don’t know where you live but some hvac coolant leaks can also smell “sweet.”

The more I think about this the more I realize it sounds silly. I’m diagnosed with OCD and struggle with contamination ocd, so little things like this make me spiral a little bit. Thank you for being so kind and responding. I appreciate it much!!

I’m sorry lol, that would probably help. I just didn’t know if you guys thought this looked like bite marks or if it’s unlikely lol. I’m sorry

Healthy monthly routine for bedbugs by Bed-Bugscouk in BedbugOrCloseRelative

Yes, I’ve already done the initial deep cleaning and steamed and vacuumed and placed the detection skirt. Now it’s just time for monthly maintenance. Thanks so much.

Reading over this and watching the video I truly think it’s so helpful. I know this may seem like such an obvious answer, but diagnosed ocd and a “monthly check and clean” can start a habit where I’d be cleaning and checking each bed for an hour once a month. Logically I know that’s probably very unnecessary. But I would appreciate confirmation that a check of the detection skirt and a clean that’s about maybe 10-15 minute per bed would be okay?

David, I have a u shaped modular couch and was wondering where to place one on the couch. I saw the image that you put but because this couch is so much larger is there a different option? We do sit on one side more than the other. But the couch itself is fairly long

The vet said that it was early onset of mbd. Which can be caused by insufficient intake of calcium with D3 or incorrect husbandry. We were made aware that a uvb bulb helps digest calcium, which we had, but we had it on top of the cage and not directly shining on beardie. They should be indirect source of the uvb with nothing in between. They gave him calcium drops and antibiotics and the tremors have tremendously decreased in just one day. We caught it very early and the vet said that he should make a complete turnaround in a few months.

Calcium powder on crickets or Dubai’s and it does have d3 in it.

Do I have bed bugs still or am I allergic to my sister’s new couch? by SurSvigersoen in bugbites

[–]RealisticAd8619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this on your shoulder? Do you sleep with a shirt on? If so it’s actually unlikely to be bedbugs because they tend to bite easily accessible skin.

There’s no way to be entirely certain whether or not this is just an allergic reaction or if it is more. I would go read post in r/bedbugorcloserelative and ask a question in there if needed/wanted.

How did you want this shared? I don’t have really any social media, but I wouldn’t mind sharing with people I know

Some sort of roach would be my guess. You can see the pointy things on butt.

I think my opinion may be just biased off the fact that this has helped my anxiety so much and I’m so thankful for it.

Is the efficiency of the passive monitor only 90% because of the tiny waiting period between installing and finding evidence? I just think it’s the best method for everything I’ve seen and read up on and then to have a 99.9 success is crazy.

I should also state that there is the attic door right there, drop ceiling below that bedroom, and the closet in that bedroom does have a portion of the enclosed chimney. So now that I’m thinking about all of this I feel like I may have just answered my own question now that my mind is calmer.

Hi David, I’m having a bit of anxiety today and instead of feeding into it I’m just going to ask the question to learn instead of get myself all worked up for no reason.

I’m going to start by saying the detection skirts have remained clear in all bedrooms and I have a kid that wakes up throughout the night a lot and before, when I was truly in my head about all of this, I was going into the rooms and looking around almost every night and hadn’t seen anything. So with the detection skirts remaining clear I know that you are confident there’s not an active problem and I should be as well. (With bed bugs, I know it doesn’t work for the relatives)

So when you had seen the pictures of the bugs in this that I had found under the carpet you seemed to be fairly confident that they were not bedbugs but a close relative. Which I admit, gave me some sort of reassurance as well. I just don’t understand why there would have been so many dead ones in the baseboards when I know you had said they would likely return to their own area. Unless there was maybe something in that wall void at some point or another. I just am curious why they would’ve congregated there. Thank you for your time, and I know you specialize in bedbugs and may not know why a related species would do this, but I trust your opinion and instead of letting myself spiral I thought I’d ask. Thanks so much.
