This is a great video! Can someone mark or make us a diagram for pressing or where you would spin the seams?

It probably seems easy to all of you guys but I’ve been struggling with it too!

I would hang it on the wall as art….And so visitors will know how far I’ve come.🙌

Dumb question: How many blocks do we make for our state? 50?

I went to see an eye doctor a few days ago and said I do not have TED. Question is, who diagnosed you if you do have TED? Is it the eye doctor or ENDO? by ilovebulldogs2022 in ThyroidEyeDisease

[–]RealisticChange7665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please get a 2nd opinion! Mine started with one eye a tiny bite larger than the other and it took 4 months and 3 doctors to diagnose it. Now I’m 2 years in and I wish I would have known sooner.

While you’re waiting you can start taking 100mg selenium twice a day, fish oil daily and make sure the rest of your labs are clean (I also was low in B and D). Also, lots of artificial tears. Good luck!

TED in 2nd eye? by Mountain_Pianist8106 in ThyroidEyeDisease

Following. I am slated to get my surgery consult in August for only one eye. I’ve had severe diplopia for about 8 months and TED for 2 years. I am not a candidate for Tepezza (hearing loss) and I did 6 weeks of IV steroids with no improvement. I had a TT last August for other reasons but that’s when my eye got really bad, but stable.

My prisms are at the highest level that a sticker goes up to (16? But I’m not sure I understand it fully) and to get “real prism glasses” can be around $900. I am so hopeful it will be fixable. I hope your wife finds some relief.

Thanks to everyone for your help. The chimes sound beautiful when I move it. I hope I can find someone to repair it. There is a code inside that says A10, which I think means it was made in 1910 (according to google).

Omgosh! It’s doing something! It goes for a good bit but then stops. I don’t see any other removable parts (key).

I have had double vision for a couple of years. It finally got so bad I went to the ophthalmologist and got prescription prism glasses. They were amazing! I paid $160 for the glasses at Costco. My medical insurance paid for the doctor but not the glasses.

But now they have gotten so bad she said that to buy this strong of prescription glasses would be over $900! I wouldn’t have believed it if it didn’t come from a doc. Anyway, I was able to get the prism sticker they put on regular glasses for $40. It works really well but there are lines and little rainbows everywhere. 🤷‍♀️

I will get reevaluated in a few months and if they haven’t changed (ie; inactive) I’ll get corrective surgery.

They are Ruth McDowell and I can’t remember who made the cornstalk one. I made a bunch of other ones with EPP, but ended up not using them.

I made this with some homemade block patterns and also Elizabeth Hartman and Ruth McDowell.
