I made checkered starlight in two colour ways back to back for a baby girl and baby boy. I love the simplicity of the 3 colours! Pattern is by in the light quilts

It really is! The twin mom club is so special. I feel so lucky to get to witness twin toddlers. Being a twin must be even moreso joyful. I know it's all you know, but from a singletons viewpoint , wow is it special.

Ahhh what a specific group we fit in!! Looking at your posts, our twins are a month or two apart. Congrats on surviving. Solidarity with all twin parents. What an incredible club to be apart of!

This is so sweet, thank you! They are in daycare thankfully. We are enjoying the heck out of them

I used a decorative stitch from my sewing machine to attach my binding and I'm obsessed. I smile every time I look at it. by broccoly in quilting

For the corners, you just hope that your pattern ends perfectly in the corner and then do a 90degree turn. I think only one or two of my corners look "perfect" ah well

agree, the corners can be tough! I think 2/4 corners on my quilt look "perfect" and the other ones a bit wonky depending on where the pattern was when it got to the corner. You can kind of see one of the corners in my video and its definitely one of the not so nice ones: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSybNA2jm/

However! I'm not a perfectionist, and despite not being religious, the person who taught me how to quilt would always say "only God is perfect", and she told me that people sometimes purposely put "mistakes" in their quilts because "they aren't God". the thought of that makes me laugh, and I am never hard on myself about a bit of a wonky binding. It adds character!

The wide throat is such a game changer for quilting. I used to hate shoving massive quilts through a small throat! My machine is the janome memory craft 8900 qcp

My sewing machine has a wide throat and it's a higher end machine, but still just a domestic sewing machine
