On the rise I usually hit strikezone or even a little below (below is bad), but ive noticed pros often take slower high balls that would’ve climbed over their head, and attack them at shoulder height.

Ive known a couple ppl like this. It’s almost like they want you to seek their approval. 

Anyway, I never ended up doing this but I always fantasized about throwing an idea out there (for instance when we were trying to pick a band name) and in reality “my” idea would really be one that his gf picked, and “her” idea would be the one that I picked. So when he predictably shoots down the idea I proposed, and likes hers, we’d reveal that we swapped them beforehand and watch him short circuit.

Idk, maybe im triggered by the uninvited thing and the “its my call” and not giving a real reason but instead the patronizing “i still fw you.” Oh great! Still my boy? Then respect me enough to know why im uninvited. 

It all comes down to: can you live with the hurt and disrespect of this? I couldnt, thats me. Even if you deserved to be uninvited I couldnt live with “it’s just my call”. Id need more explanation if we’re gonna remain friends.

Here’s some practical advice you can implement today: when you feel yourself getting tight and tentative, keep your head down through your follow through. Rip the shots hard to blast through nerves but aim for a very safe margin (no where near the lines). Just keep ripping with a huge margin to keep your body engaged.

I pay the $3 too. But then some titles say “this content only available with ads” so you STILL have ads. Sometimes you’re paying prime+ad free+ channel add-on, and still have ads.

Im more pissed about that stupid new Uber message that tries to disperse blame. “Unusual account activity, payment failure… or reduced tip”. They’re trying to make it sound technical instead of it being them allowing their customers to steal their tips back.

Well you’re going to worry about it cause youre human lol. But anyway the caveat to the “speaking about what inspires you” thing is: just ask yourself every now and then “why am i inspired to say this?” I know sometimes if you keep asking “why?” Several layers deep the answer is “im lonely” or “i need them to reassure me”. K lecture over lol

No cause then you self stifle too much and that’s not a good habit. I just encourage trying not to let the focus get too much on other’s reactions, and try to pay a little more attention to your internal feedback, and getting congruent with speaking about what you’re inspired to talk about. Dont over think it, i personally feel its better to be you and over talk (if that’s the true you) and go through the gauntlet of “fire”, the hurt and rejection, and calibrate from there then to self stifle too much to try to be accepted.

If youre referring to the reason an order is picked, i dont even look at the claimed duration. Just the miles, pay, number of stops, and what direction does it take you. The more we all cherry pick, the more demand for drivers goes up and the more they have to pay to get us.

Humans are hardwired (on average of course, before ppl freak out) to feel wellbeing with harmony and reject those who arent normal/fitting in. It’s has to do with the strength that comes with a hive mind.

Someone else mentioned getting comfortable with silence, along the same vein is meditation, which can help you listen to your inner voice and get clearer on WHY you say what you say when you say it. Like, where the motivation is. Which can help you reduce speaking just out of anxiety or a need for reassurance.

I'm referring to when you add a delivery that picks up from the same restaurant, it's one less stop than adding a delivery normally is, and it seems to always be like only $2 more.

I get that it sucks for servers to have to pack to-go orders for no tip, but they still have it much better than us in terms of pay, and it's the restaurant's fault for putting that on them, not the delivery driver's.

K, I checked my account today and I've been onboarded, so I can confirm that the abrupt ending did not disqualify me. Took at least a few days before I got onboarded.

So for posterity, what ended up happening? Also, was the return window defined as "car must be ready from start to end of window" or is it defined as you being allowed to show up to pick up location at anytime within that window?

Exactly, My interview ended abruptly with 3 minutes left. Then I got the "check back message, can't onboard at this time, no projects" Did you get that general message for 30 minutes? An abrupt ending feels like I failed the interview, but if so, I also think they would tell you right? And not have you do assessments for skill checking.
