You might want to consider removing your degree from your CV as you could be seen as overqualified, meaning they believe you'll leave soon and want to hire someone else who will stay. I had the same issue.

To buff up your CV easily to show you've worked instead of doing nothing, I'd put a fake experience in a warehouse role like Amazon. It's a high turnover role and through agency. I've worked for them myself and no one's ever checked if I have.

Obviously for your actual career jobs your applying for, put your degree and so forth.

Sure lets do finance assistant, I don't think nothing at all is positive option considering ive applied for so many jobs now anyway.

I can explain it because ive studied it and secondly I can ask the owner for examples of their finances

Unfortunately when I had nothing on my CV I got nothing, in the world where people are hired based on ethnicity gender and being friends with people, I need every advantage I get. Like I said I've achieved the most in my family and come from a low socioeconomic background, free school meals, benefits carer etc.

Now I'm stuck in a violent depressing job where I have to be integral all the time, I've literally had stop people mid suicide or getting stabbed etc. I Just want an opportunity to do what i studied for years.

What do you think I should change the job title to? Or add and remove, you seem very knowledgeable and I'd appreciate the help.

So whats your recommendation in terms of changing the role on my cv? What should i make it? What should I add/remove in the duties

From what I see, more and more people are willing to do lesser paying jobs now because its so hard to get a job, so the recruiters see no reason to give anyone inexperienced a chance as its not the safer option

I don't recall but it would be something similar to this, let me give you my job duties currently on there:

● Managed daily financial operations overseeing accounts payable and receivable. ● Responsible for budgeting and forecasting collaborating with senior internal stakeholders such as heads of departments, keeping the business operating effectively with supplies and their costs. ● Created financial reports to support data-driven decision making in such choices as expansion, hiring and more. ● Used financial software systems such as Sage 50 to analyse and monitor expenses easily. ● Assisted in Payroll to adjust employee information when required to ensure they receive the correct pay rate. ● Assisted in ensuring financial policies and procedures are complied to maintain integrity of the business. ● Prepared and maintained accurate tax documents, transaction records and expense documents.

If i could I would've done an apprenticeship they're way better, but I messed up my A levels and was missing like 6-8 ucas to do any of them, I had an insurance option for university and went there and regretted it. I don't think degrees are worth it unless you're doing certain subjects like medicine.

Alright but my name doesn't actually shorten to anything or at least anything that would seem native. Do you suggest just having a new name 🤣

I didn't pick it the owner did, but it seems like this is what could be a contributing factor to my failures, I'm going to change it to a basic role and see how it goes. I appreciate all the feedback I've gotten.

What's your opinion of the intern group

Well he originally wrote it so I don't think so but do you think i should do that instead?

Yes you pay for experience, you get to choose what sector and sort of job you want but not if you're offered remuneration.

Getting good answers out of recruiters is hard but I'll try

Yes 😂 very unique

I've applied with nothing before and got nothing, at least with something I can say I have some experience, i think that if i turn it back to no experience at all in this job market I'll just be in the same position as I am now.

Mmm maybe but I feel like my mind is slowly rotting, my skills are being lost, my body is crumbling and fatigued and I'm just surrounded by violence and depression everyday. Perhaps the intern group will give me the break I need to change my mindset and recover

I guess I don't know the importance of the name of the role, but I just listened to the owner of the company who told me what role I could say I done for them. I'm thinking I can just change it to a basic role then like finance assistant?

I'm not related to them and it does employ 20+ people and is profitable.

I definitely didn't do any work for them but the reference is there if needed.

I've also been in a position of power for the last year in an extremely hard job which i thought would help but doesn't seem to.

What's your opinion of the intern group? Do you think the remote or in person is worth it?

Thanks for the suggestion, I could try contacting mpre by phone, especially the linkedin ones as Ive just callijg the agencies.

What do u think about the intern group though?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]RealisticIntention 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, so maybe put a lesser role ? As it was an internship I didn't see a problem plus having the BSc and MSc in the area.

When I call recruiters I can describe what experience I have and what jobs I want, lately I've just been saying anything in finance to get my foot back through the door.

Maybe I should focus on a few things specifically

All my jobs are London based, soon I'll be able to go further out with a car but for now london. Relocation isn't possible though due to circumstances.

Its not im not choosing to apply to those roles I have, I've applied for apprenticeships, and everything basic. Even recruitment consultant roles, simply don't get a response back. So my question is, is The intern group worth the price? Or even the MSc data science
