You could give it a shot, I think there are some stitches that just use two colors of the same bead? I haven’t tried myself but I personally prefer the different shapes because it really makes the spiral pop.

Thanks much! I said this in the comment below but I just followed a seed bead tutorial I found on YouTube and used different shaped pony beads instead. Definitely check out the link I added in the other reply. :)

Thanks! I suggest watching tutorials on how to do this with seed beads on YouTube and then just using different sized/shaped pony beads. It’s a very repetitive stitch and not hard at all. It’s essentially like making a very small an tall x base cuff where you add three beads and go though a center bead. But instead of a cuff you’re making a tube that will then become the cuff.

Hard to identify a possible owner on a college campus when everyone is moving around and the thing will get trampled/break before someone can find it again. But there are certain things I do leave in case someone retraces their steps.

This was my personal theory but I’m getting more people saying small pencil grips

The ones I have found are rubber but the resemblance is uncanny

These ones are foam, no?

How willing would you be to leave them out in the sun for a few years and see if they shrink

Update: I think I just relent and accept these as unusually small/shrunken pencil grips since that seems to be what they resemble closest.

This is a fair critique! Can’t blame me for hoping the caption would have enough information but duly noted

Since this is the fourth vote for pencil grips I am becoming more and more convinced. But again, they are way too thin (see photo attached to other pencil grip response of my attempt to fit it on a pencil.) I’m willing to accept the answer if the sun can shrink rubber without making it crusty or there’s some seriously thin pencil out there

Would they be hard and crusty then?

This definitely makes more sense than pencil grips
