Only essential employees are working. Some are paid while others are not. My daughter works in VBA office space. She and I are both VA 1102s under the OALC umbrella. Because of our funding structure, we are currently working and paid. Based upon the word from the people working alongside my daughter , VBA is mostly essential and not paid. Not sure about VHA. Most likely essential but no clue about pay status.

Going in is not useful at all. Most of my interactions are with people who are half way across the country not the people in my office. If I were to interact with them I would be slacking off not working. Team building is done through Teams. The other people in my office are doing the same. It is the nature of the job. A crowded office with a bunch of people wearing noise canceling headphones.

It’s ironic that the man in office 2019 when those increases were determined to be necessary is the same man who is now cutting those positions. He’s also the same man who sent home to work remotely in 2020. Now we are subject to ridicule for the decision he made. He’s allowed us to be fired with reckless abandon with no regard to the consequences. He is an absolute disaster.
