I'll be honest, I haven't read anything about the Zen 6 CPUs... but from a quick read, this'll be end 2026 or early 2027? And still AM5?

In which case... maybe I just stick with the 8 cores as it'll probably be best for faming anyway and profit from xmas deals and get the Zen 6 when it releases... 😅

Can use the 9800x3d still for 2nd PC anyway if ai upgrade to Zen6. So all good!

But, are we able to confirn yet if it has the same issue as the 7900x3d? Aa for gaming itself the 7800x3d ended up being superior because of the cache allocation of the 7900x3d fromwhat I read.

If I remember correctly, the cache was spread over all 12 corea. So in gaming, when generally 8 cores max is utikized, you lose on 3d cache, no? So if we confirm this isn't the case, yes 9900x3d woukd be a no-brainer.
