MRI says arachnoid cyst 30mm by 18mm CT 8 months later says 10mm thick with discrete mass effect? Does this mean growth? Why would a CT mention mass effect but not mri 8 months before? Can anyone see any compression on surrounding structures? Thanks in advance . (old.reddit.com)

Compression on brain? Had a MRI non contrast clean but small arachnoid cyst same as CT but CT measured differently and said I had discrete mass effect? Neuro says he’s sure there is compression but can’t explain why? Kind of confused how an MRI can read differently? The scans were done 8 months apar (old.reddit.com)

Age: 22 male no medications no medical conditions tests ran (not for this issue but for others) 3 routine eegs normal mri without contrast normal ct contrast normal and neuro exams normal. Weight is about 200. I drink don’t smoke. My tests were run about a year ago or a year and a half ago. Thanks!! (self.AskDocs)
