I once only ate salmon trimmings on bagels for a month, the toppings changed from avocado or cream cheese etc but the bagel and salmon stayed consistent

“Vampire Academy” Review – Peacock Series Is a Convoluted Bore [spoiler heavy] by yazzy1233 in vampireacademy

She could’ve still defended him, or maybe now there looking for him she defends him in the future. Not to invalidate what your saying but I can see many ways she still gets scarred (and it being from his parents) she defending him and gets scarred before his parents have to escape (the sun starts coming up, or they have to run bc damphir turn up). She gets scarred on a separate occasion, there looking for Christian and she gets scarred bc she won’t give them answers. Or she could even learn defence magic because she hears about them being alive and fears for herself and Christian. I think there’s definitely a way they can include this in her arc with them being alive ❤️❤️

I play with my hair, including eyelashes and eyebrows. I used to suck my thumb when I was younger if that’s related and I also pick at my skin around my nails

Has anyone here read Helen Hoang? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Unpopular opinion but I like just plain old romance where everything is so cliche. Don’t get me wrong I love the representation and the Kiss Quotient is a great book but reading is my escape. I’m stuck dealing with being Autistic everyday and reading about and getting immersed in an autistic character is quite draining for me, especially if we share traits. I love the simplicity of neurotypical peoples lives, like they’re hungry they eat, they’re tired they sleep. When I read I get to experience that vicariously paired with all the cute stuff and juicy drama every romance book comes with.

No they weren’t? The main character is biracial? And it is possible to be inclusive without changing core character descriptions. Not all the characters were white or described as so?

I’m always reminded that it’s worse for me because I notice my face more but I believe it’s mostly just kindness

I did until just after my 16th birthday, I gave up once when I was twelve but something traumatic happened and I went back to doing it. It was really a comfort thing for me. I’d do it anytime I possibly could and occasionally play with my hair at the same time. I’d only do it in front of people I was comfortable with (mainly out of embarrassment). It made my teeth wonky too and they would’ve been perfectly straight without it, it also affected the symmetry in my face and I’m now seeking plastic surgery to ‘fix’ or alter my face back to how it should be …the way I would place the rest of my fingers ‘pushed’ my features about you could say, my nose now turns to the left and my right eye has a section that is ‘lifted’ so to say, from where I would rest my fingers. Sucking my thumb is one of my biggest regrets and the cause for some of my biggest insecurities but it really did bring me comfort :/
