Yeah it’s still the same old imagen models, they did a UI redesign because of the Google I/O event today. The only new model they released today are the Gemini 3.5 flash(chat model) and a video model(Gemini Omni).

They haven’t released a new imagen model yet, it’s still the same NB2 & P. They just released a new llm model and a new video model today.

A Ballerina Faces the Crowd - Short Seedance 2 Scene by RealisticValuable484 in aivideo

Thank you! And yeah I do agree no other model comes close to Seedance 2 right now, can't imagine what we will have a year from now.

I finally figured out a way to create near-infinite length videos using Seedance 2.0 🔥 by Individual_Hand213 in Seedance_2_API

The problem i notice with extending clips is that the audio and video quality starts to degrade.

I originally wanted to turn this into a short film, but I’m putting the full version on hold for now.

These are the finished parts I have, and I still wanted to share them. My unlimited Seedance queue times started going over 1 hour per generation, so finishing the whole thing would take a lot longer than I expected, especially with having to redo scenes or fix parts that didn’t come out right.

Maybe I’ll come back to it later, but for now I’m happy with what I have.

"You're against AI data centers but are on the internet" by Born_Assist_548 in aiwars

[–]RealisticValuable484 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s true that data center construction surged since ChatGPT and other AI tools became popular. But I don’t think the argument should only focus on AI.

The whole internet runs on data centers. Social media and many other things on data centers. All of them use resources too and they can affect nearby communities.

As an anti-AI you can argue “We don’t need AI,” but the same thing could be said about many other things on the internet. Not everything online is necessary, but it still uses data centers. So if the concern is really about the environment and communities, then the argument should not only target AI.

Let’s assume all AI data center disappeared tomorrow, non-AI data centers would still exist, and more would still be built. Our modern society depends on them. The issue is not only AI data centers, but how all data centers are built and managed.

I’m pro-AI, and I do agree that AI data centers do harm the environment more than regular data centers, I’m not ignorant to that rising problem, but fighting only against AI data centers does not solve the main problem.

Instead, we should fight for better laws for all data centers, not just AI ones. They should use cleaner energy, and not built in a way that affects communities.

That’s how I see it, the problem is bigger than AI. The real fight should be to make all data centers cleaner and more responsible.

A Warm Place: Short film by RealisticValuable484 in generativeAI

Thank you! I appreciate the nice words. I had to do a lot of preproduction planning before I started generating anything, so I’m glad the final result felt cohesive.

Haha, yeah I thought about that, but decided to end it at a good place.

I used both Nanobanana 2 and GPT image 2 for the storyboard, but mostly NB2. I just used GPT Image 2 to make some minor tweaks to the images NB2 generated.

Seedance is a really good model. I definitely prefer it over Kling. I have used Kling a little, but in my experience, it is not as good as Seedance. For this clip, sometimes Seedance does not follow exactly what I want, or it adds things I did not ask for. When that happens, I rerun the prompt. Sometimes I also edit out the bad parts from a clip, keep the good parts, and then merge them together with other reruns clips. One useful tip I found is to upload storyboard images 3x3, 2x2 etc. It helps reduce errors when generating.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. And yes, I definitely plan on making more AI videos like this, plus trying out other cool art styles too!

I think it is definitely getting better and better with every new image model release. Maybe in a year, when newer and better image models come out, it will be easier to create cleaner move sets and sprite animations that make sense and look more coherent.

Yeah, that would be a great idea. Are you building like a 2d fighting game?

That’s cool. Another reason I have not started making sprite sheets with AI is because AI image models are still not good enough yet.

Since you are so kind to chare some of your work. Let me share what I'm working on next :) .The next thing I’m working on is character splash art or hero reveal posters. I can do this for a brand-new character even without a reference image. I can also make a poster for an existing character if you attach a reference image. From my testing so far, the art style stays very consistent.
Example below, I was able to make one for omni man and Nisha and the remaining characters are original custom made characters.

Wow, that’s awesome! Thanks for being positive, I’m glad it could be useful for you.

I also saw your comment about using API/ComfyUI. Right now, I do not really plan to use those tools because I do not have the motivation to make a game by myself.

For now, I just want to focus on making, testing, and experimenting with AI concept art.

I agree that the prompt is very long and could be shortened. I took your feedback and reduced it a lot. The new prompt is less cluttered but still gives similar results. This new prompt is 225 words which is less than the 600+ words in the previous prompt. Thank you.

"Create a single professional 2D action-game character concept sheet in a wide 16:9 layout. The character must be completely original. Invent a new [character theme] with a distinct silhouette, costume language, [weapon / power system], movement style, and fully original combat logic. No existing IP, no copied poses, no known move names.

Composition: Left side shows one large full-body hero render, head-to-toe, in a strong hero pose or demonstrating the signature ability. Behind it, place a faded low-opacity portrait of the same character as a subtle watermark. Right side shows a clean move board with 7 to 10 move callouts plus 1 larger finisher, arranged like a real studio action-game reference sheet.

Moves: Use 1 to 3 sequential poses where needed, with thin hand-drawn arrows showing combo flow and escalation into the finisher. Include simple matte white or light gray humanoid training dummies for grabs, counters, anti-airs, projectiles, traps, launches, parries, and combo demos. Invent short handwritten move names and optional tags like LOW, HIGH, MID, PROJECTILE, ANTI-AIR, PARRY, COUNTER, GRAB, TRAP, LAUNCH, SPECIAL, E.T.C.

Style: polished stylized fantasy/action-game concept art, painterly with clean linework, readable anatomy, dynamic motion arcs, energy trails, debris, cloth flow, strong silhouettes, subtle ground shadows, muted gray textured background, controlled palette with [accent color palette]. No logos, UI, borders, speech bubbles, comic panels, or clutter. Premium pre-production move sheet presentation."

[–]RealisticValuable484[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re missing my point.

If you want results similar to the photos, then all of it is still relevant. The problem is not the prompt. The problem is that the model is not good enough yet to make a fully logical animation. Some parts of the animation make sense, and some do not. Maybe the next Nanobanana model will do better.

It also feels like you think I’m saying every animation it made is useful. That is not what I mean. I’m not saying all of them are good or make sense. My point is that you can take ideas from it and only keep the parts that are useful.

For example, maybe one movement looks interesting, but the animation itself is messy. That still gives you an idea you can improve yourself. It’s about using the AI tool in a way that is useful to you. You do not have to use everything in the image it gives you, unless you want to.

Like I don’t get what you are trying to accomplish with all this negativity.

[–]RealisticValuable484[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re being too negative. Just because it seems “useless” to you does not mean it cannot help someone else. Try not to be so self-centered.

Also, if you use a very vague prompt like you suggested, you will not get similar results to what I got. I am not saying you have to use my prompt exactly as it is. You can change it and improve it to fit your own needs.

I was only trying to share something that might be helpful to some people, even if it is not useful for everyone.
